Victoria (Tori) Munson grew up in Barberton, Ohio and graduated from the University of Toledo in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Women’s Studies. In 2017, Attorney Munson obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.. Prior to graduating law school, Attorney Munson was a law clerk for various juvenile and family law offices and took part in the trial team in Law School.. Following law school graduation and admission to practice as an Ohio lawyer, Attorney Munson worked as a Staff Attorney for the Stark County Public Defender’s Office, where she represented clients in Stark County Family Court as well as Canton Municipal Court. Subsequent to her time with the Public Defender’s Office, Attorney Munson spent a year as an Assistant Prosecutor for Richland County, Ohio handling Juvenile matters and Appeals. While most of Attorney Munson’s practice has been in criminal and juvenile law, she has a passion for family law that has stuck with her since she was a legal intern. Attorney Munson feels that working in family law, she can make a difference in people’s lives, especially, children’s lives.. Attorney Munson is happy to be back in Stark and Summit Counties, working in the community where she lives and grew up in. She is looking forward to making a difference in her home community.. My dream of becoming an attorney started when I was very young; my dad was convinced I would practice criminal defense and nicknamed me "The Excuse Factory" when I was 6 or 7 years old. Thankfully, that dream of his did not come to fruition.. I previously practiced foreclosure law. I learned so much in my time there about who I was and who I did not want to be. That isn't a slight against my prior firm- great experiences can shape people just as much as negative ones. It becomes easier to know where to go when you know who you want to be. I practice family law because it is what I am called to do. I strongly believe all people deserve respect and a fair hand regardless of their life situation and I endeavor to treat people as such. Just like all humans, sometimes I fail miserably on that front, but my current position allows me to learn, grow, and help people find hope in situations that can look hopeless. I look forward to many more years of learning to practice law in a way that allows me to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly into the future.. When I am not working, you can probably find me reading a book, chasing my toddler, or going on a camping adventure with my husband.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in me as your attorney.  I have been an attorney since 1987, working as in house counsel at Ohio Edison Company (nka FirstEnergy Corp) until 2014.  Duirng my time at FirstEnergy, I also held several management positions onboth the regulated and unregulated sides of the electric industry, including director or rates and regulatory affairs, executive director of retail energy transactions, and general manager of the E Group, an energy consulting subsidiary of FirstEnergy.. I retired from FirstEnergy in 2014 and have opened a private practice.  While most of my practice is in state utility regulation, with an emphasis in energy efficiency, renewable energy and smart grid technologies, I also have experience as a general corpoate lawyer, with an emphasis in corporate transactions, litigation and start up businesses. My firm is also associated with experts in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, trusts and estates and entertainment law.. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University, having received both my bachelor of science degree in Business Administration (summa cum laude) and my juris doctor degree there.  I am a licensed attorney in Ohio and Pennsylvania and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of Colorado.   Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked as a financial auditor/CPA for Price Waterhouse Company in Denver, Colorado.
