I've been a personal injury trial attorney for over 25 years and have tried cases throughout New York State. Before becoming a plaintiff’s trial attorney I spent ten years as in-house counsel and trial attorney for one of the nation’s largest insurance carriers. This perspective gave me a unique advantage in negotiating and trying cases against insurance companies and their attorneys. I am proud to say I've settled several multi-million dollar cases for seriously injured individuals, including workers injured in construction related accidents and motor vehicle accidents.
I view litigation as business by other means. It is a way to continue the negotiations after conventional means have failed. You never start a litigation without a clear goal for a desired outcome and, you never pursue a litigation without the flexibility in strategy to secure it. Kenneth M. Stenger, practice emphasis in real estate matters, with concentration in banking laws; general litigation including negligence, contract, insurance, zoning; personal injury; criminal defense; matrimonial and family law. Mr. Stenger graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, District of Columbia in 1976 and Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York in 1973. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1977 and to the U.S. District Court (Southern District of New York) 1989.
I joined SRDD Law to expand our tax certiorari practice. I have assisted owners of commercial and residential real estate in reducing their real property taxes from initial negotiations with the Assessor to the filing of grievance complaints, appearances before Boards of Assessment Review, filing petitions, Article 78 motion practice, hearings and trial. Karen represented the Towns of Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck for Tax Certiorari cases.
I concentrate my practice on personal injury and civil litigation, including technical research, pre-trial motion practice, and appellate review, real estate, and banking.
