About Ian Lindars
Ian C. Lindars, a native of Dutchess County, has been practicing law in the Hudson Valley since 2005. In addition to representing clients in the State of New York, including New York City, Ian has litigated cases in various other states including California, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Vermont. Ian’s extensive experience practicing law includes; Personal Injury, Municipal, Real Estate, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Defense, and Landlord Tenant Law.. In 2014, Ian joined Stenger, Roberts, Davis & Diamond, LLP as an associate in the Litigation, Municipal and Real Estate Law Departments. In the Litigation Department, Ian represents clients who have sustained serious personal injuries resulting from automobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog attacks, construction accidents and medical malpractice conducting all phases of litigation including trial. As part of the Municipal Law Department, Ian advises Town Boards on various aspects of New York State Town Law, General Municipal Law, Public Officers Law and Civil Service Law. In real estate, Ian represents buyers, sellers, and banks in residential real estate transactions in the Hudson Valley region as well as representing both residential and commercial landlords and tenants in various matters including summary eviction proceedings and drafting residential and commercial leases. Ian also represents businesses in various matters including commercial litigation, drafting contracts and risk avoidance/mitigation.. Ian received the Forty Under Forty Shaker Award from the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce in 2009 and has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a New York Rising Star every year since 2013. He is a member of the Dutchess County Bar Association; New York State Bar Association; Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce; Business Network International (BNI), New York, Mid-Hudson Valley, Professional Connections Chapter; Professional Networking Powerhouse and The Dutchess County Association of Realtors. Ian has BA in Political Science and Sociology from Boston University. He received his Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Albany Law Environmental Outlook Journal. He currently lives in Fishkill with his wife and children. In his free time, Ian enjoys cycling, rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking and fishing. He is also an avid supporter and coach for various high school, mixed martial arts and wrestling programs in the Hudson Valley.
