In January, 2015, I retired from state service, after 24 years as a prosecuting attorney for the Medical Examining Board, and am now practicing as a solo practitioner. This move allows me to concentrate on doing some things that I really have a passion for. First, I hope to consult with physicians, especially those treating chronic pain, to help them comply with regulatory requirements and achieve best practices in this area. I am able to review protocols, forms and representative charts, and provide input to help minimize the chances of having complaints made, as well as successfully counter any that are made. Second, I hope to reach more physicians with my one hour CME talk: "Legal and Ethical Prescribing of Controlled Substances, or, How Not to Meet Me, Professionally!" I am available to give this lecture to clinic staff, as a grand rounds presentation or to professional society meetings. Unfortunately, not all complaints can be predicted or forestalled. When they do occur, whether with regard to prescribing, quality of care or any other aspect of professional practice, I am prepared to provide advice and representation in any regulatory or criminal investigation.
I'll be happy to discuss any legal issues you may have.
I have over twenty years of experience in the legal field. Most of my career has been spent working in the area of personal injury. First, I worked for the insurance industry. Then, I worked for the large personal injury law firms that advertise on TV. I left all of that to start my own practice so that I could give the best quality service to my clients in a small office settling while still delivering the greatest results. In order to best serve their personal injury clients, lawyers need to be able to spend time listening to them, understanding how the injuries affected each individual client. The insurance companies want to treat us all like numbers and assume that all people respond the same way to a given injury. I know that isn't true. The more time I spend listending to my clients in an effort to understand how their injuries changed their lives, the better advocate I am for them against the insurance companies. Don't settle for a lawfirm that will treat you just like the insurance companies do, choose Krabbe Law Offices, LLC, where you will be heard.
