While in College I had the experience of watching a close and dear friend go through a horrible experience.  On a sunny summer day he and I were looking for a new apartment for the upcoming year.  Chet was driving.  He was stopped at an intersection, saw cross traffic was clear, but missed the pedestrian cutting the corner of the intersection hidden by the shade of a gigantic tree.  Unfortunately, Chet struck her with his pick up truck.  She was 88 years old, fragile and died.  What I witnessed over the next three years made me into the attorney I am today.  It compelled me to attend law school.  It compelled me to remember the most important thing as a lawyer - while cases are similar, just like people, no case is truly alike.  My firm makes it a priority to listen to its clients and look for the individualism in each case.  If you are represented by Barger Law Group PC, you will be represented by lawyers who know you, listen to you, and respect you.

I received my undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and my Doctorate of Juris, “law degree” from the Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College. I started my professional career with the Intermountain Public Defenders Office in 2002 and opened my own practice in 2003 and have practiced as a solo practitioner ever since.. Christian Nathan Scritsmier grew up in Oregon.  He graduated from Jesuit High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Oregon, and studied law at Willamette University.  While in law school, Christian clerked for the Marion County District Attorney’s Office and served as Executive Editor of the Willamette Journal of International Law & Dispute Resolution.  He entered Willamette’s Dispute Resolution program, which U.S. News & World Report ranked at that time as one of the top ten dispute resolution programs in the country.  Upon graduating from law school, Christian earned a Dispute Resolution Certificate in addition to his law degree..
