Nora Leto is a civil trial attorney with approximately 31 years of legal experience. Ms. Leto has prior professional legal experience working for Florida State Hospital Office of Patient Legal Services as a Staff Attorney and with Florida Rural Legal Services as a Farm Worker Advocate. She is also fluent in Spanish.. Ms. Leto is a former Chair of the Florida Bar’s Agricultural Law Committee. She has practiced in the United States Tax Court to which she was admitted. Ms. Leto is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. She is admitted to practice before the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).. Ms. Leto is involved in various professional and community organizations within the State of Florida, including the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, Lakeland Bar Association, and the Catholic Charities of Central Florida.. A little about me. I come from a long line of doctors. My dad was an internist and my grandfather was an OBGYN.  I had an uncle who was a surgeon and another uncle who was a neurosurgeon. Doctors in my family tree go all the way back to my great great grandfather who was a surgeon in the civil war.  Although we came from a medically dominated family my brother I both deviated from this path and became attorneys.. Virtually all of our practice is devoted to representing and caring for “people with medical problems", personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and social security disability.  Coming from the background I came from has proven to be a positive and helpful resource.. Personally I am involved with my Church, Christ Community Church, serve on the Board of Directors of Tri-County Human Services, Inc. and have served on the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels.. Professionally I am a member of The Florida Bar, An Eagle member of The Florida Justice Association and The Polk County Trial Lawyers Association.  I am also a member of the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America..
