John Crosetto is a litigator at Garvey Schubert Barer with experience representing clients in disputes over trademarks, trade dress, licensing, trade secrets, domain names, and non-competition agreements. He also acted as counsel in Rosetta Stone, LTD v. Topics Entertainment, Inc., Civil Action No. 1:09cv1128 (E.D. Va.), a trade dress and trademark case in which the parties disputed rights to the color yellow for language learning software packaging. Mr. Crosetto acted as lead counsel in Strategic Marketing Partners, Inc. v. Greenwave LLC and Northwestern Brothers Marketing LLC, No. 10-2-09469 (K.C. Sup. Ct., Wash.), a dispute related to gaming software based on the television series Deadliest Catch.. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Crosetto, who has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, taught language, literature, aesthetics, and critical theory in the Department of Germanics at the University of Washington and the University of Colorado.

Prior to becoming a partner at Smart, Connell, Childers & Verhulp, PS in 2009, the bulk of my practice was insurance defense litigation for over 10 years.  I also had the privilege in working in lawfirms that did everything but family or criminal law so was able to obtain experience in a number of areas of law before focusing my practice to personal injury claims and litigation.  Since 2009, I have been blessed to be able to focus my practice on helping injured people.  This includes car accidents, wrongful death, head injuries and even on-the-job injuries.  I look forward to many more years of helping people in my community when tragedy strikes.

In 2005 I graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga Law School. After working for a year as a prosecutor, I have been practicing in civil litigation since 2006 where I focus primarily on helping individuals and families affected by injuries caused by others.  I have been a trial attorney my entire legal career, first prosecuting crimes, then as an insurance defense attorney, and now representing people injured by the negligence of others. I currently handle persona injury cases in Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, Walla Walla, and the Yakima valley.

I have been practicing law in Seattle since graduating with honors from Seattle University School of Law in 1998.  My practice focuses primarily on estate and tax planning, probate, trust and estate litigation, trust administration, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, domestic partnership agreements and succession planning and business transactions.  I also co-founded and partnered a local tax, business and estate planning firm in Seattle.. Over the years, I have represented a wide range of trust, estate and probate clients, working to assist them in their personal and tax planning needs.  Additionally, I have represented beneficiaries, personal representatives and trustees in estate litigation, both in defending fiduciaries and in bringing actions against fiduciaries.. As a member of the editorial board for the Real Property, Probate and Trust section of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), I have written articles and presented materials on topics ranging from tax filing to nontraditional family estate planning.  I am a member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle and a member of the Tax Section fo the WSBA.. Prior to attending law school, I spent over eight years as a stockborker, regional sales manager and vice-president of a local brokerage firm.  My background gives me an understanding in financial and economic issues, as well as hands-on experience in dealing with the personal planning needs of individual clients.

I grew up in Montana and moved to Spokane in 1989 to work as an engineer.  After graduating from Gonzaga School of Law in 1993 I began a practice limited to business and estate planning.. I enjoy that each client has unique needs, and helping advise them with their estate or business matter.. I have helped businesses start, grow and sell, and if necessary, through problems along the way.. I have helped clients develop their estate plan, whether that requires a simple will or complex trust, I am focused on my clients understanding the process and keeping it as simple as possible.. I also help clients who are administering the estate of a loved one, helping to keep it simple and prompt.  I have also helped many clients through the process when it becomes complicated or confrontational.

Doug has practiced law for over 44 years in D.C., New York, PA, CA and WA, trying cases there and in other states by association. He has obtained many settlements and verdicts up to $3.5 Million.  He currently focuses on serious injury cases, sex abuse and nursing home abuse in numerous states with his partners or in association with other attorneys and firms.. J. Bowman Neely is a graduate of New York University (B.A., 1995), the Art Institute of Chicago (painting), and the University of Montana School of Law (J.D., 2004). During law school, Mr. Neely was the editor-in-chief of the Montana Law Review. He worked as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office. Mr. Neely then clerked for Federal Magistrate Judge Lief B. Erickson. He has studied abroad as a visiting student at Oxford University, and is proficient in French and Spanish. Before law school, he was involved in the arts working for Sotheby’s Auction House in New York and for a private dealer, as well as in the role of an artist exhibiting in New York and Los Angeles. Mr. Neely has experience working on public-private development partnerships, commercial real estate agreements, land use, water rights, and renewable energy matters. He is a member of the bar of Washington.

My law practice focuses primarily on criminal defense. I help people facing misdemeanors, felonies, and traffic infractions. A significant portion of my practice involves DUI/DWI Defense, Assaults, Malicious Mischief, Theft, Drug Possession, Burglary, Identity Theft, Domestic Violence DV, Harassment, Traffic Tickets. I am an active member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association, Washington Defenders Association, and Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.. A long time local to Tacoma, I graduated from Wilson High School. From there, I went on to the University of Washington and later to Gonzaga University School of Law.  I enjoy rooting for both the Huskies and the Zags, but it can be bit tough come basketball season in the chance they play each other.  I live in Gig Harbor with my wife, Lisa, who is also an attorney, and our two sons.
