Jose is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. He proudly served with the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005 to 2006. After leaving the military, he attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He was a member of the prestigious Texas Legislative Internship Program during his time at the University of Houston.. Soon after graduating from U of H, Jose enrolled in the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He obtained an associate editor position on the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and actively participated on the Moot Court team. He competed in numerous moot court competitions. As a member of the Earl Carl Institute, he wrote, researched, and edited portions of Our Story, a publication devoted to telling the rich history of Texas Southern University. Mr. Kale was born in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1972. He is a first generation immigrant of Indian descent. His parents immigrated to the United States to further their careers as geneticists. Vijay spent his formative years on Long Island until his parents relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. In 1993, Vijay graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and then went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.  Vijay also holds a Masters degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health and a Biology degree from the University of Houston. He has been a licensed Real Estate Agent for more than 8 years. Vijay is a past President, Secretary and Treasurer of the South Asian American Bar Association of Houston.
