Ms. Shepherd was awarded the Tiera Farrow Outstanding Community Member Award in April 2011 by the UMKC Chapter of the Association of Women Law Students for community service in support of women in the law. She is a member of the Order of Barristers and admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.
