Dianna also holds a Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Alabama where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dianna's experience includes private practice at some of the state's most respected firms and management of a trust and investment business line for a major financial institution. This depth of experience allows her to analyze a client's plan from both a theoretical and practical application.  Dianna is a frequent lecturer on various estate planning subjects for legal and charitable associations, including the California State Bar and the Ventura County Community Foundation. Donald P. Madsen was born and raised in Northern California, and Southern Oregon. He absolutley loves serving his clients Estate Planning, Probate, and Conservatorship needs. He especially loves working with his Spanish speaking clients.  He has been a speaker in the past few years at the Fiesta Educativa, a non-profit educational program put on each year for Spanish Speaking parents that have children with disabilities.  He conducts his presentation on Conservatorships in Spanish.  He lived in Guatemala, Central America, for two years where he learned to speak Spanish (se habla Español).. In 1989 he attended Brigham Young University where he played baseball before deciding to dedicate himself to the study of Sociology and Law.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s in science in Sociology in 1994.. Don attended McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, while working as a law clerk for local attorneys.  He graduated in 1999 where he was recognized by the Sacramento County Estate Planning Council for his achievements.. In 2002 Don began his sole proprietor firm.  His focus then, as it is now, is on Estate Planning, including Wills, Trusts, Trust Administration, Conservatorships, and Probate. He is a member of the California Bar Association and the Sacramento County Bar Association.  He recently joined long time friend and college Richard Sopp to form WHEATLEY, SOPP AND MADSEN, LLP.. Don’s passions outside of the office include coaching his four children in youth sports. He has coached youth basketball, baseball and football for several years.  When he finds time for himself, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing Golf, and Tennis.  You can often find Don and family hiking or mountain biking in the mountains of Northern California or Arizona where his dad lives.  Don also currently plays Tennis on various USTA teams, and golfs when time permits.

I am a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate law from the State Bar of California.  Less than 1% of all attorneys in California earn this specialist designation.  The greatest blessing in my career is helping people plan for their families and businesses.. I am a graduate of the University of California at Irvine and McGeorge School of Law (Concentration in Taxation). I was a tax senior in the legal department of Deloitte and Touche, LLP, before relocating back to Sacramento over 20 years ago. At Deloitte and Touche, I earned the Client Service Matrix Award for national acceptance of a creative tax strategy to be used nationwide for individual and corporate clients.. After returning to Sacramento, I worked as an attorney at McDonough, Holland and Allen, the second largest law firm in Sacramento at the time, before opening my own law office. I absolutely love having my own practice, which has grown over the years from referrals from satisfied clients. In addition to my own practice, I was an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law for four years. I am also an adjunct professor at MTI College in Sacramento, where I have taught Probate law and Administrative law.I am involved in the community as an active volunteer for the Sacramento Voluntary Services Program, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern California.
