I went to law school while they were young, and used to help them do their homework before I did my own. Before I became a lawyer, I was a journalist, working in Washington, D.C., Cleveland and Los Angeles. Most of my family remains in the Midwest--Michigan and Ohio--and I love to visit them when I can get away. I still love to write and am on the editorial board of Los Angeles Lawyer magaqzine.
