Hello, I am Andrew and my law practice is concentrated in Real Estate.  I prepare contracts, handle sale transactions, construction developments as well as Corporation and LLC formation. I joined Roberts & Caruso as an associate in 2006. I focus primarily on construction and mechanic’s lien law, business litigation, and contested probate. I frequently write articles on emerging issues in the law. My work has been published by the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the DuPage County Bar Association and the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. I also serve as a member of the DuPage County Bar Association’s Civil Law & Practice Committee, Business Law Committee and the Publication Board, an invitation only committee responsible for publishing a ten-issue per year legal journal called The Brief.. I graduated from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. While in law school, I completed Loyola’s trial advocacy program, served as a lead article editor of the law review, advanced to the National Quarterfinals of the Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition, and worked for a federal magistrate judge and then for a large Chicago law firm. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with majors in Economics and Political Science. I am also a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker.

Michael J. Murphy was born on a U.S. Army base in Frankfort, Germany. Since returning to the U.S. mainland as a child, he has lived in Illinois for the majority of his life where he is currently a resident of Cary, IL, along with his wife and their two sons.. Mr. Murphy was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2000. Since that time, he has concentrated his practice primarily in transactional matters involving residential and commercial real estate, estate planning (wills & trusts), and business development. He majored in International Studies at DePaul University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in 1997. Following DePaul, Mr. Murphy studied law at llT/Chicago-Kent College of Law, from where he graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2000. In 2005, Mr. Murphy achieved the professional distinction of becoming a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP).. Since he began practicing law in 2000, Mr. Murphy has been an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
