Tyler Shultz is a committed attorney from Normalville, Fayette County. He graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 2013. Tyler attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in History and graduated cum laude in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts. He then travelled to Knoxville, Tennessee to attend Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2020, obtaining his Juris Doctorate.. While attending Lincoln Memorial, Tyler was a traveling team member of the school’s burgeoning Mock Trial Team from 2018-2020, serving as Secretary for the team in the second year. He received two C.A.L.I awards for excellence, one for Legal Communication and the other for Trial Advocacy. Tyler was on the winning team of the Lincoln Memorial University Client Counseling Competition in 2017.. Tyler’s plans for graduation changed in March of 2020, when the COVID-19 Pandemic forced the remainder of his final semester to move to online learning. He moved back to his home in Fayette County and conducted his classes online while commencing studies for the bar exam. I've been practicing in Western Pennsylvania since 2000, after my wife brought me north from law school.. I was raised in Newark, Delaware, attending the Univeristy of Delaware.  Prior to college, I worked as a draftsman for a small engineering firm in Newport, Delaware, just outside of Wilmington.  After graduating from college, I worked at Kaplan as an instructor for standardized test preparation.  I taught courses for the SAT, GRE, and LSAT.  I then went to law school at Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia.. While in law school, I did two internships: one with the Public Defender's office in Baltimore, Maryland, and another with the local Public Defender in Virginia.  For each of these I had the opportunity to sit through a murder trial, assisting the Public Defender in the defense.  I also worked as a research assistant to Professor Louise Halper prior to my last year of law school.. After moving north to Greensburg, I worked for a year in Pittsburgh for a small plaintiff's firm, suing life insurance companies for fraudulent and deceptive practices.  I then accepted a position at Berk, Whitehead, Kerr & Turin in August 2001.  In 2014, Berk, Whitehead, Kerr & Turin was restructured into our current firm, Turin & DeMatt, P.C..
