A Nashville native, Ben began his legal career with Raybin & Weissman after graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2010, where he was an editor on the Law Review. Prior to law school, Ben attended the University of Chicago—graduating with honors.. In his practice at the firm, Ben has defended hundreds of clients against arrests and citations for various offenses, and has also worked on several civil cases involving personal injury and civil rights matters.  He has briefed and argued cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Ben has appeared multiple times in both television and print news giving interviews on trending legal cases and issues.. From 2011 to 2012, Ben took a one-year hiatus from the firm to serve as a law clerk for Judges Jane B. Stranch and Gilbert S. Merritt, both of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.. He is a graduate of the TBI, Metro Police, and Tennessee Highway Patrol Citizens Academies, in which participants learn firsthand about law enforcement procedures, structure, and investigation.

Ramon Damas is an Associate Attorney at the Firm and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law in May 2018. Ramon received his undergraduate from Tennessee Technological University where he majored in Political Science. During his first year of law school he began working as an investigator at Blackwatch Investigations in Memphis Tennessee, gaining invaluable experience in the field of investigative and legal work. He has found success in investigative work helping achieve several dismissals and not guilty dispositions. As a native Spanish speaker, he will be handling our high-risk crimmigration cases, those cases that combine the two complicated fields of criminal defense and immigration.Ramon believes that often times our voices are silenced or the truth distorted because we are not given an opportunity to speak our truth. I am a licensed Attorney in the State of Tennessee.  I love the legal profession because it gives me the opportunity to help people in their time of need. Whether in the realm of criminal defense or civil litigation, I enjoy finding solutions to my client's problems.. I received my B.A. degree at the University of Memphis, and my Juris Doctorate at the Nashville School of Law.  During Law School, I worked with the State Attorney General’s office where I conducted Preliminary Hearings in Criminal cases under a special license granted by the Tennessee Supreme Court.  I also was employed with the State Legislature where I summarized bills for House and Senate members.. I began my legal career with the Glankler Brown, PLLC firm,  where I practiced both Civil and Criminal Litigation since 1998. I am very fortunate and proud to have been associated with such a firm. Upon my separation as Special Counsel in 2011, I moved to Las Vegas, NV and acquired a Real Estate License where I invested time in finding and negotiating strategic real estate investment deals. I relocated back to Memphis in 2015 to open my own office, as well as be with my family and spend time at my farm. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of law.. On a personal note, I am passionate about many different things such as Law, Real Estate, horses, and the occasional game of Texas Hold 'Em. Above all else, I am deeply committed to my Catholic faith, my daughter, and my family.

John McNeil joined the Claiborne Ferguson Law Firm in August of 2015 after graduating with honors from The University of Memphis School of Law. He received his undergraduate from the University of Memphis with a major in International Business. During his three years in law school, John worked with the Shelby County Public Defender's Office, the Federal Public Defender's Office, and the Honorable Magistrate Judge Tu Pham. Before joining the firm, he worked for Miles Mason Family Law Group here in Memphis. He is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Mississippi. He is also a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. John believes that there are several versions of the "truth" – and then there's what actually happened. No person should be punished based on another's version of the truth.
