I've been an attorney for almost a decade now, and I've done almost exclusively criminal defense work. I spent 6 years as a public defender in Petersburg, so I have a lot of experience working on violent crimes and drug cases. I handle mostly trial work now, but I was also the appellate supervisor for the Public Defender's Office in Petersburg, so I will also accept criminal appellate cases. I am now working as a private attorney out of Buckingham County. I own a few acres of land in New Canton, and I like working with my hands. I'm a practicing Catholic, and I got married recently. I work on weekends when it is required, but I am also a firm believer in family time. I generally will take calls on Saturdays in the case of an emergency, but never on Sundays.

Corey Martin was born in Richmond, Virginia. After college, he worked for ten years at Capital One Financial where he managed a division of several hundred employees in Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Tampa, FL. He earned a Masters of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He then earned his J.D. at Liberty University School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude. After law school, he worked as a civil litigator in the nursing home industry where he represented the elderly in wrongful death and injury cases. He also handled personal injury cases involving major bodily injury and the death of automobile drivers. He participated in negotiating six figure settlements in these cases.
