Lyliane Couture was raised in Enumclaw, Washington by John and Kay Sheetz.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in a total time of five years and two months.  Lyliane earned her private pilot's license at the age of 18 and worked as a real estate agent in Seattle during college.

I am a criminal defense attorney from Seattle that primarily works in Olympia. I became a criminal defense attorney because I love helping people and feel that too often the scales of justice are tipped in the favor of the State and that jail is often times not the answer. I am a father, a lawyer, and a drummer. I live in Whitman County with my son, two dumb dogs, and a cat.  When I'm not lawyering, I'm playing drums for my church and for a local country rock band.
