I have practiced law for over 35 years. I am always attuned to achieving the best outcome for the client whether that means litigating in court or reaching a reasonable settlement. I have served as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for children in child protection cases. As a result I have learned a great deal about child development and family dynamics and am adept at helping clients reach the child custody outcome that is in the best interest of their children. I believe that community service is important and have been an active volunteer for many nonprofit organizations. I like to ski and camp and love the Colorado outdoors. I'm married with three children.

Originally from northern New Mexico, I attended undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and law school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  I practiced law in the investment management group of Sidley Austin LLP, a large international law firm, in San Francisco for seven years and corporate law for a well-respected Colorado practice before founding Trachman Law Center, LLC. I am a member of the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Section, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and Resolve (a national infertility association).
