In Pemberton Law’s Alexandria office, Charley Good mainly practices family law which includes divorce, child custody, child support, parenting time, and adoption.  Additionally, Charley has built his practice in criminal law, real estate, contract litigation and personal injury.  Charley Good grew up in Alexandria, Minnesota.  His strong family and community ties make Alexandria the ideal place to practice law.  Charley graduated magna cum laude from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies and Philosophy.  He received his Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating cum laude. While attending William Mitchell, Charley made numerous appearances in district court as a certified student attorney logging over 300 hours of courtroom experience. In addition, Charley is a qualified neutral mediator, arbitrator and family mediator under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. Prior to college, Charley was instrumental in founding the Douglas County Teen Court program through an internship with the Douglas County Attorney's Office. Charley wrote grants, did research and organized the infrastructure of Douglas County Teen Court which has provided the Alexandria area with an effective diversion program for first time juvenile offenders since 2002.

As I young adult, I enjoyed success as a professional classical musician and performed with orchestras worldwide.  Despite my success, I was always passionate about the law.. Then I discovered the Nashville School of Law and realized I could pursue my lifelong ambition there.  I passed the bar examination on my first attempt and founded my own law practice.. My intensity, energy, and deep sense of dedication serve my clients well, even when opposed by very seasoned and experienced attorneys.

I am an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since 1990.  I have concentrated on family law matters in pre-decree and post decreee cases involving divorce, custody, child support, parentage and guardianship in Lake County, McHenry County and Cook County, Illinois since approximately 1994.  I am also a certified family law mediator assisting parties in mediating parenting and division of property and debts.  I have also represented many children over the years as a court appointed guardian ad litem and child representative in family court.  I have also been appointed as a guardian ad litem for minor children and disabled adults in probate court..
