I grew up in a military family and, like most, was stationed at various bases throughout the country and overseas before finally settling in Arizona.  I stayed close to home and attended the University of Arizona for my undergraduate studies, before venturing out to California for law school, where I graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003. Shortly thereafter, I moved back to Arizona, and began my legal career and gained valuable courtroom experience as a juvenile public defender.. In 2010 I transitioned into private practice, and since then I've focused my practice almost exclusively on family law, divorce and child custody issues.  I like to think I bring a reasoned and compassionate approach to my cases, and understand the emotional stress often involved in family matters. With over a decade of combined experience as a litigator, I'm also well equipped to handle contentious disputes when necessary. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, running and hiking.  I'm also an avid sports fan – especially when it comes to my favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, San Antonio Spurs, and the University of Arizona football and basketball teams (“Bear Down”). Born in Gadsden and raised in Marshall County Alabama where I have lived all my life.  I have always had an interest in law.  In my early teens I would read any and all law books I could get my hands on.  It was always my goal to one day practice law. After high school I begain working in the maintenance department at the Albertville Nursing Home and attending Snead State College.  When I turned 21 I was hired as a police officer in Albertville and dropped out of college.  But the desire to go to law school only grew stronger so I left the police department and enrolled back in school.  By the time I graduated college and applied for law school I was married with a baby on the way.  So there was no option for me but to continue to work as I attended law school.  I admit it was hard working almost full time and going full time to law school but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.  Having struggled through tough finanical times helps me relate to clients who are doing the same.  Unlike some attorneys I understand what it is like to live pay check to pay check.  Over the years my practice has focused on Divorce, Custody and Criminal Defense.  I try to handle each client's case as if I were in their shoes.  I want my clients to know that I take their case serious.  I believe in hard work, being prepared and being honest and straight forward with clients.

Ken Baumann grew up in Panama City Florida where he was active in his school and community.
