I have been a lawyer for 37 years.  I became a family law attorney because I love helping people get through what can be one of the worst times of their lives with strength, dignity and grace.  Helping my clients get back on their feet as they go through the divorce process is often the most satisfying part of my job.

A family law case impacts the most personal and fundamental aspects of a client’s life. A person’s life savings, children, and future are all affected by how their case is managed and resolved. Striking this balance is central to Amanda Roy’s approach to the practice of family law.. Amanda Roy graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law and cum laude from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and minors in Spanish and political science. Amanda also gained valuable hands-on experience interning with the Honorable Alison Toller of Hall County Juvenile Court, mediating cases in Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Court, and researching children’s rights with Professor Jonathan Todres. Prior to law school, Amanda acted as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she advocated in court for the best interests of abused and neglected children. Upon finding a passion for helping families in times of need, she pursued law school with the specific intent of practicing family law. She has assisted clients with issues involving family and juvenile law since 2014 – first as file clerk, then as a legal assistant, and now as an attorney.. Amanda approaches every case with the goal of helping clients reach their desired resolution in a manner that best suits each client’s needs. She is acutely aware how that a client’s life frequently involves the opposing party long after a case ends – such as co-parents sharing graduations, weddings, and even grandchildren in the future. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time in the mountains with her husband, hiking with her Australian Shepherd, and cooking.

Charles Gunther is the founder of GUNTHER FAMILY LAW.  He has been a practicing Family Law Attorney in Anchorage, Alaska since 1994.. Charles grew up in Anchorage and he has lived in Alaska for over 40 years.. He attained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska in 1991 and his Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law in 1994.. Born and raised in Ohio, Attorney Nell received his law degree in Florida, where he initiated his practice. As a child he often visited his grandfather's farm near East Berlin, Pennsylvania, where he utimately chose to settle. He and his wife of 30 plus years, Marcia, an assistant Professor at Millersville University, have raised four children. They are now the proud grandparents of two.

Attorney Marvin H. Gold is the ultimate general practitioner. In the early 1970s, he made it through law school by taking night classes at Temple University in Philadelphia while working full time during the day as an auto mechanic at a Volkswagon dealer in Jenkintown. After he graduated, Marvin single-handedly learned construction and transformed an old Hatboro shoe store into the law office in which he has practiced for 40 years and counting. At about the same time, he began the decades-long process of converting a semi-vacant barn in nearby Ivyland into a beautiful, well-built home. He and Bev, his wife of 42 years, still live there and raised their two children there.. In forty years or practice, Marvin has tried and won almost every type of case that exists: Criminal and civil, state and federal, small to large, simple to infinitely complex. I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ball State University with a degree in Accounting.  Before law school I worked as an associate auditor at an accounting firm in Indianapolis. I audited Insurance companies nationwide for their respective insurance regulatory commissions.  During law school I was an Executive Board Member of the Indiana Health Law Review.. Before starting my own practice I worked as a law clerk at a Trust and Estate law firm, helping clients protect their wealth through proper estate planning techniques, and as a law clerk at the Marion County Prosecutors office helping prosecute all levels of misdemeanor and felony crimes.. My office is located on the historic downtown square of Danville, IN. I serve clients all over central Indiana. My practice focuses mostly in the area of family law, criminal law, business law and trust and estate law. I am licensed to practice law in Indiana and Tennessee.  I am also admitted to practice in federal court in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

I count motherhood as my greatest accomplishment, and I prefer the titles “Dance Mom,” “Cheer Mom, “and “Volleyball Mom” to “Esquire.” God has entrusted my husband and me with two amazing daughters, and I never wanted to miss a moment of the precious years of childhood. So for the past eighteen years, I have been a Solo Practitioner operating as DVKLAW. I was born in Louisiana ‘round da’ bayou. I was born at a time when people who looked like me lived on “our side” of the levy and went to “our” schools. There were men in fancy suits who would come and sit in the living room with my Papa. They talked about two things, changing the “rules” that kept us separated by that levy and my MaDear’s peach cobbler. That cobbler was legendary!. I think I was about four years old when I learned that those men in fancy suits were called “lawyers,” and they had to go to a place called “court” to change those “rules.” I remember them talking about a lawyer named Thurgood Marshall who became the first African American Justice to serve on the United States Supreme Court in 1967, the year that I was born. I suppose that’s why I’ve never wanted to be anything other than a lawyer.. When I’m not lawyerin’, I’m screaming all of the lyrics to my favorite songs at a live concert. Music is my Prozac! And when I’m not chasing pop stars, I’m planning my next trip to Disney World. I’ve served my community for more than thirty years as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am a proud alumna of The Alma Mater of a Nation, The College of William and Mary, and I continue to support the Tribe as a Class Ambassador for the Class of 1989. And as a 1992 graduate of Tulane University Law School, I know what it means to miss New Orleans. Roll Wave!. And like every woman lucky enough to have been born in Louisiana, I love to cook. My peach cobbler is not as legendary as MaDear’s, but I fix a mean pot of gumbo!

Prior to private practice, I srved as a judicial staff attorney in Washington State Superior Court for Kitsap County. As an attorney providing support to four busy trial court judges, I analyzed legal motions in all areas of law, especially in cases involving complex issues, and recommended how a judge should rule on the motion. My work at the Court helped me understand how judges respond to arguments made by attorneys. This makes me an extremely effective advocate in the courtroom. When not working, I stay active in the community through my volunteer work with the King Co. Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinic program and various animal rescues. Attorney Kirstyn D. Palmisano obtained her law degree from the University of Washington in 2008.
