I (along with Ron Garfield) am the founding partner of the firm which first opened its doors in 1975.  I am a shareholder of the firm which has five locations on the Western Slope and employs 22 attorneys. I have represented seller and buyers of residential and commercial property owners for 40 years. My practice includes representation of large real estate investment groups, buyers and sellers in lending and borrowing activities.  I have extensive experience in land use matters seeking governmental approvals for subdivision and planned unit development and challenging government land use decisions.

I have practiced law in Colorado since 1998.  After working as an aide to the Honorable Nancy L. Courtney Neves is an associate at Voyant Legal and focuses on estate and business planning.. Growing up, Courtney worked alongside his family and grandparents on the Neves farm and ranch. Prior to his death, Courtney’s grandfather hired an attorney to help in the planning of his estate. Because of this planning, when Courtney’s grandfather passed, many legal ‘potholes’ were avoided. Ronald Schoedel graduated cum laude from the BYU J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2013, beginning his career in law following successful careers in government administration and broadcasting.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from BYU in 2010.. Ron has often been described as passionate, empathetic, and willing to go the extra mile, a philosophy which motivated him to enter the practice of law.  During law school, Ron received the J. Reuben Clark Public Service Award for his commitment to the greater good, and his recently published article in the BYU Law Review became a national top ten academic paper in the area of educational law.. Ron has worked in law offices for major non-profit organizations in Hong Kong and the U.S., and has lived in other diverse places such as the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, where he ran a public radio station, to Wales, where he studied the Welsh language and history full-time.  Prior to joining Alder Law Group, Ron clerked for Associate Presiding Judge Deno Himonas of the Utah Third District Court.  He lives with his wife, Amie, and his four sons, in Utah County.

Geoff then pursued a legal education at Brigham Young University's well respected J. Reuben Clark Law School. While in school he worked as a legal extern for the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie in Monterrey, Mexico and later for the San Diego Public Defender. He graduated cum laude and was selected as a member of the prestigious national Order of Barristers.. Upon completion of law school, Geoff began his legal career at San Diego's oldest and largest law firm, Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps, LLP. There he provided legal service to clients in numerous areas, including estate planning, charitable giving, probate and estate administration, probate and civil litigation, and business advisory. Erik was born and raised in Kaysville, Utah. He has lived in Utah his entire life apart from serving a two year LDS mission in Brazil and the three years he attended law school in Michigan. He has a love for the people and the community. For Erik, being an attorney is his way of giving back to the community. He specializes in the areas of Estate Planning, Guardianship and Probate.. He was raised in a family of eight children. Because of this, he has learned how to get along with everyone. He has an outstanding knowledge of the legal process, which can be credited to his four years at Weber State and three years at Michigan State studying the law. Because Erik's father is also an attorney, he has spent a great deal of his life around legal matters and it comes very natural to him.. Erik is one of the hardest working attorneys that you will meet. He is very efficient with his time but also very patient in dealing with his clients. I am the father of 7 children and married to my best friend, Circe.  She runs a music store in the basement of the King & King Law Office.  We love to travel.  We are always saving and planning for our next trip to build family memories.  I love meeting with clients and getting to know them and their families as we develope an Estate Plan for them that will meet their needs and the needs of their families.  I try to get to know each client so that we can develope a relationship that extents beyond just preparing thier legal documents.
