I am a member of two practice groups at Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson. As a member of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust practice I assist clients on a range of estate planning, trust matters, and business issues. I develop and implement succession plans and other plans of reorganization that efficiently navigate tax matters and successfully transfer private family companies to successive generations. I also prepares wills and trusts (irrevocable and revocable) as well as advanced estate plans that involve charitable and family gifts, private foundations, and family limited liability companies. I handle the legal administration of many large and small probates, which can often give rise to post-mortem tax planning.. As a member of the Corporate and Business Law practice group, I am experienced in business transactions, including drafting and negotiating letters of intent, purchase agreements, leases and finance agreements. I advise clients on business entity selection and formation, and reviews business-related contracts.. Outside of my practice, I enjoy traveling to Maui, creating Hawaiian quilts, and working on my golf game.

Carissa (Marquis) King practices primarily the areas of estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and business and real estate transactions. Originally from Weatherford, Carissa is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), where she received a B.B.A. in Finance in 2008. She went on to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was the recipient of a Top 20 Speaker award in the First Year Moot Court Competition and was named a Nathalie Pierrepont Comfort Scholar, a Thomas L. Hieronymus Memorial Fund scholar, an Oklahoma Bar Association Income Tax scholar, and was an Assistant Note Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.. Carissa is past president of the Clinton Kiwanis Club, past president of the Custer County Bar Association, past chair of the Custer County Republican Party, an associate examiner for the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners, and a fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation.. Carissa and her husband, Garrett, are proud supporters of The Nature Conservancy. In their free time, you can find them attending SWOSU events and wrangling their two young daughters, Nellie and Margie.
