I married my high school sweetheart Cheryl Bianucci in 1984 and 35 years later we are as happy as ever.  Our oldest Daughter Kylie recently married her college sweetheart Mitch, our daughter Abby attends UNR, and our son Drew is preparing to spend two years in Africa giving service to the people of Ghana.. I love spending time with my family, watching my kids develop their talents, and when I can find a little free time, fly fishing.  I consider the amazing Truckee River flowing through the heart of our town as a gift to be enjoyed and protected.  Since I don’t often find time to fish, I like to grab a sandwich to eat by the river while I enjoy its beauty.

While in college at the University of Delaware, Marta was drawn towards issues of social justice in society after working as a research assistant in a social psychology laboratory that focused on understanding intergroup bias and racism. She knew studying law would be the next logical step. Following graduation, Marta interned at the Delaware Department of Justice in the Family Unit, where she gained valuable experience in the criminal justice system and advocating for victims' rights. While in law school, Marta worked for Murray Richman, Esquire, a well-known criminal defense attorney in New York City. This position gave Marta experience in the New York State courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Following law school, Marta worked for the Delaware State Courts, educating defendants about the criminal justice system. She values face-to-face interaction and helping individuals solve problems. While she was earning her Legum Magister at Delaware Law School, she worked for JP Morgan Chase & Co., conducting legal research and reviewing clients' legal documents. She worked for several years in private practice at a boutique estate planning and estate administration firm in Wilmington, Delaware. During this time, Marta earned a certificate in Estate Planning from Villanova University - Charles Widger School of Law’s Graduate Tax Program.. Marta is a member of the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association, the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trust and Estates Sections of the Delaware State Bar Association. She frequently is appointed by the Delaware Chancery Court to serve as Attorney ad Litem for disabled adults.. Marta grew up in Newark, Delaware. She is a Newark High School alumna and a proud Blue Hen. She is a founding member of the Theta Delta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi where she served as the Music Chair. She volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware and she is the immediate past Family Engagement Chair of the Red Shoe Society.. She enjoys the Delaware beaches, Walt Disney World, and playing trivia with friends.
