She began her career working in boutique law firms specializing in personal injury, family law, criminal law, and civil litigation in San Diego, California. Mrs. Velez has participated in complex civil litigation issues and assisted in personal injury cases that left clients severely injured at the hands of companies and government entities.. Mrs. Velez earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating under the fast track program in two years. Although she continued a fast track through law school while working for two law firms, that did not stop her from earning her way onto the Dean’s List.. Mrs. Velez earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics, with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Bakersfield. Mrs. Velez was born and raised in California. She became a Kentucky resident in 2018, after meeting her now husband in law school, who is also an Attorney in Corbin, KY. In her free time, she enjoys athletic activities, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
