Nichole Oblinger’s passion within family law comes from helping families through emotionally challenging decisions to achieve workable solutions. She believes in her role as a counselor first and foremost and is committed to her mission of guiding her clients through what is often a very tumultuous time to help them build successful and independent lives. She represents both men and women in a variety of family law-related issues, including separation and divorce, child custody and child support cases, spousal support (alimony), guardianships, adoptions, modifications, contempts, restraining orders, and fighting allegations of physical abuse and substance abuse. She is extremely experienced crafting prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements. Attorney Oblinger has dealt with a wide range of clients including those with a net worth in the millions and those holding complex business structures and trusts.. Attorney Oblinger graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, after graduating with the same honors from Arizona State University West. She was a judicial intern with the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals. Nichole provided representation on behalf of the Department of Child Safety as a Special Counsel for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in the Child and Family Protection Division. Before moving to Massachusetts and joining O’Connor Family Law, Attorney Oblinger practiced in the areas of family law and bankruptcy for many years with the Boates Law Firm, LLC (previously Boates and Crump, PLLC). Impressively, she has presided as a Judge Pro Tem for Family Court in Arizona. She is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Arizona.

Potter began his career in the IT and Dot-Com boom of the late 90’s in southern California. There he learned the art of negotiation in developing business transactions that involved complex transactions from a variety of companies. In his second career as an Attorney, Trail applies those skills to conflicts and problems that affect families and individuals who feel overwhelmed by legal problems.. Trail graduated from McClintock High, and received his BA from ASU – so while he studied Law in Texas, when it came time to open a private practice, Trail returned to Phoenix. The desert has been his home, even when he was as far away as The Philippines.  We serve clients primarily in Maricopa county, but will take on cases outside the Phoenix area for those clients who need our services.

Ms. Palmer is a 2016 graduate of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, and is admitted to practice law in Arizona .. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Palmer was a litigation paralegal in Maricopa County, Arizona for nearly 30 years, and primarily worked on family law matters for approximately 14 years.. Ms. Palmer is an advocate for abused and victimized women, and works closely with Against Abuse in Pinal County.. Although a great deal of Ms. Palmer's experience has been in Maricopa County, her heart and home are in Pinal County.  Her practice is now almost exclusively in Pinal County, although she occasionally takes cases in Maricopa, Graham, Pima and Cochise Counties.  Palmer Law Grouop, PLLC is conveniently located on Florence Boulevard in Casa Grande.

When I am not practicing law, I enjoy reading and writing mystery novels. I am also an amateur nature photographer. I love hiking and taking in all the beauty Arizona has to offer.. I have children and step-children (all of whom are amazing, brilliant, special and wonderful!), so I understand first-hand the issues of divorce, remarriage, co-parenting, step-parenting, etc.

I am a very passionate advocate.  I bring a unique vantage point to my practice, combining a background in mediation, negotiation, family law, and finance.. I am familiar with the practice of law on Wall Street and Main Street. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.  I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and received a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School-Newark. While a law student, I completed a conflict management concentration focusing on negotiation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution and arbitration.      I completed a Federal Judicial Externship with Honorable Ronald J. Hedges and was a Mediator for the Division of Consumer Affairs. I spent two years as an associate for a wall street bank, Goldman Sachs, managing International Swaps and Derivatives Association Agreements. I completed courses through Goldman Sachs University, including corporate negotiation.        After going through the divorce process myself, I knew that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.....help people start their lives over.  I left the corporate world and began my family law career working for a small firm in Hackensack, New Jersey where I litigated divorce cases before New Jersey Superior Court Justices in 11 counties.  In November of 2007, I opened the doors to the Law Office of Amanda Mays in Princeton, New Jersey.   The firm was dedicated to 100% family law, including cases involving divorce, annulments, custody, child support, spousal support, distribution of assets and debts, complicated distributions of businesses and financial products requiring forensic accountings and appraisals, domestic and international kidnappings, grandparents' visitation rights and enforcement issues.      In early 2011, I packed my bags and moved to Chandler, Arizona with my family.         I am licensed to practice law in Arizona and New Jersey.  I am a member of the Arizona State Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association. I completed a 40-hour Mediation Training course administered by the Arizona Office of the Attorney General, in partnership with the Arizona Supreme Court's AOC.

Christa Banfield has focused her practice on family law since before she was evenlicensed in 2011, externing with Community Legal Services and the Honorable BruceCohen, and interning with family law practices in Phoenix and Scottsdale.. Christa’s background allows her to bring both empathy and logic to her practice – animportant balance in family law matters.. In 2003, Christa obtained her first Bachelor’s of Science in Supply Chain Management,which she put to use as a business analyst for Honeywell before pursuing her lawdegree. Her love of numbers and analytics serves her well when handling high assetdissolutions, dissolutions with businesses involved, and simply being able to analyzedifferent financial scenarios for her clients.. Christa’s second BS was in Psychology, and while attending ASU’s Sandra DayO’Connor College of Law she focused her classes on Law and Psychology, earning hergraduate certificate in Law, Science, and Technology. While Christa emphasizes thatshe is not a psychologist, her study of the subject helps in dissolution matters wheremental health concerns, child development issues, substance abuse, domestic violence,and other such issues are present.. In her free time, Christa enjoys spending time with her family on their hobby farmplaying with the goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and tortoise.

When Im not working I enjoy spending time with my 5 children.  Im the President of Mesa Eastern Little League and enjoy participating in Little League with my sons.

I am a mother to all boys so  I spend a lot of time doing "boy stuff."  The boys and I are huge Cardinals, Suns, and Diamondbacks fans.  And, because I'm a Utah native, I must add... GO UTES!!!. I moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Arizona in 2001.  I love the Arizona sun and enjoy outdoor activities: hiking, camping, and floating down the river.. I have worked in the legal field since 1997.  Since that time, I have worked as a secretary, court clerk, judicial assistant, paralegal, law clerk, and attorney.. I honestly enjoy helping people and problem solving.  I firmly believe in thoroughly covering a client’s options before moving forward; knowledge is power!  I care a lot about my clients and have long-term legal relationships with many of them.  I am settlement-oriented, but also fight zealously when necessary.
