I grew up in Southwest Virginia. I decided to become an attorney to help serve this area and its people. My passion has always been family law. I enjoy helping clients through difficult times and guiding them through their trials with individualized attention. It was because of this passion I attended Campbell’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina where I majored in trial advocacy.. During my time in law school, I focused on family law and estate planning. In 2012, I graduated at the top of my class with honors and passed the North Carolina Bar. In early 2013, I passed the Virginia Bar. At this time, my active license is in Virginia only. Since that time, I have been in private practice as well as worked in other legal capacities.. In the first few years of my practice, I worked in a general practice firm where I grew as an attorney who litigated matters from real property, family law, to personal injury. After that time, I worked as a magistrate in Northern Virginia where I issued warrants for arrest, search warrants, emergency protective orders and emergency custody orders for mental health.

Hi, my name is Nora and I am very excited to be a part of the Holcomb Law team!. I am a native of the great state of Pennsylvania, but Hampton Roads has been my home for most of my adult life. I graduated from high school right here in Newport News before going off to serve in the United States Marine Corps. I knew even then that I had a passion for helping others and I knew I wanted to be a lawyer.. I am an alumna of the University of North Carolina, at Wilmington and Regent University School of Law. Since graduating from law school, I have primarily practiced criminal law and family law throughout South-Eastern Virginia. My path has led me from operating a solo law practice, to working as a public defender, a prosecutor, and I’ve even been an attorney at Legal Aid.. Although I’m experienced in many areas of law, I’ve always felt especially connected to clients who are dealing with the stress of divorce and custody. I know it’s a difficult process and one in which people often feel alone. I believe an important part of what I do involves walking through this process alongside my clients and being their voice when they are most vulnerable.. When I’m not here at Holcomb Law, I’m usually gardening and hanging out with my plant babies! Otherwise, you’ll find me at local arts festivals or spending time with family and friends.

Jane focuses her practice on marital dissolution cases, and post-decree matters involving high-conflict child custody and child support matters, relocation, and cases involving domestic violence. Her experience includes high-net-worth estates with complex issues such as closely held businesses, complicated compensation packages, and other valuation issues.. While Jane has extensive courtroom experience, she also understands the emotionally charged environment that surrounds family law disputes and works closely with each client to reach favorable resolutions to issues cooperatively whenever possible.
