I have more than 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney, mostly within the discipline of Family Law.  While I have experience in other areas, such as business formation and civil litigation, I have been handling Family Law cases since the day I was sworn in as a lawyer.  I believe I have the right temperament for this particular area, as it takes a delicate balance of legal acuity, mental toughness, and empathy for my clients.  Too much of any one of these traits and the case can be derailed or the client can feel abandoned.. I am a family man myself.  I have been married for more than 15 years and have three young children.  My career and my family help me keep both in focus, as both are incredibly important to me, but placing focus too much on one, will cause the other to suffer or fade.

I have been involved in the legal field since 2004.. I have experience working in Immigration, Criminal law, Family law and Personal injury.. Prior to my career as an attorney, I applied my Business degree and worked as a business manager for an international retailer.. I graduated from California State University Fullerton, with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Business Law. I obtained my law degree from Trinity Law in Santa Ana. Upon graduating, I took the bar and passed on my first attempt.. Before opening my own practice I spent time working at: an Immigration Law firm, Criminal Law Firm, a DUI firm that deals exclusively with multiple offenses, and a Employment Law firm. I excelled at each firm, and spent my time learning the ins and outs of the field, so I could better serve my clients.. Since opening up my own firm, I have branched into Family law and other fields to better serve my clients.. One of my major strengths, is my speaking ability so for hearing and in court arguments, I am at my best.. I work hard and am dedicated to getting the best possible result for my clients. Prior to joining Walzer Melcher, Christina was an associate at a leading New York family law firm, where she worked on a variety of matters involving complex financial and custody issues. Before turning her focus to family law, Christina was a litigation associate at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP.. Christina received her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts. She received her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude and with Departmental Honors, from Barnard College, Columbia University.. Christina was selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in New York from 2013 through 2017. Christina is currently a Vice Chair of the International Family Law Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law.. She is licensed to practice law in both California and New York.
