Deidre M. Baker received her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law and her B.A. in English and History from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She is an associate at Makofsky & Associates, P.C., with offices in Garden City. For over a quarter of a century, the firm’s practice has concentrated in Elder Law, estate planning, guardianships, probate, and estate administration.. I am passionate about my practice areas in guardianships / conservatorships, probates, estate planning, and family law matters. I believe that truly listening to my clients and their goals and having great communication is important to ensure a positive outcome of any legal matter.  Prior to attending law school, I spent over 9 years in banking operations and many many years in customer service and management positions giving me a unique insight to the importance of client relations.. I enjoy the work that I do and I believe that is an important quality to have in order to be successful not only professionally, but personally. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and our 3 dogs.

My practice is focused on helping children and families. Whether it is an adoption, guardianship, conservatorship, custody, visitation or other matter, I can offer a calm, sensible and reassuring voice to families in crisis. I am also an Adjunct Professor at UC Irvine School of Law and work with law students interested in public interest careers. Prior to starting my practice, I was the Interim Pro Bono Director and Lead Attorney for the Public Law Center (PLC) and worked for legal aid organizations, including Legal Advocates for Children & Youth (LACY). I graduated from UC Berkeley (with Bachelors degrees in Social Welfare and Economics) and UC Hastings College of Law. I also speak Vietnamese and served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Southern California (VABASC). I've also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children and as a pro bono attorney.

I concentrate my practice in elder law, with a focus on long term care planning, guardianships, probate and trust administrations, and estate planning. I represent clients in routine guardianship and probate matters, as well as more complex Medicaid and special needs planning cases. I enjoy working with clients and their families to develop and implement plans to achieve their goals, and guides her clients in every step of the plan

I was born and raised in Searcy. I am proud to continue to be a member of the Searcy community and serve fellow Arkansans throughout the state.

Prior to joining Percell Legal Group, I was the owner and managing attorney for French Legal Firm.  While there, I focused on family law, probate, and estate planning.   Prior to that, I spent over 33 years with State Farm Insurance primarily in Claims leadership roles.  In those roles, I had significant litigation management experience in homeowner first and third party claims, workers' compensation claims, and claims training.. With my experience, it seems Personal Injury would be the logical primary focus of my practice.  However, after I retired from Corporate America, I spent time volunteering in various areas of law with the Gwinnett County Legal Aid.  It was there I found my passion for helping clients in the Probate area along with Family Law.   I find it rewarding to be an advocate in the legal system for those without a voice.. While in the insurance industry, I earned the CPCU, AIC, AIS, and AINS designations from the Institutes.  I also earned the CLU and ChFC designations from the American College.  I attended law school while working full-time in the insurance industry and have been admitted to practice law in Georgia, Florida, and Kentucky.

Steven E. Hitchcock is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law Attorney, who practices in the areas of Social Security Disability Law, SSI and Medicaid, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianship and Guardian Advocacy, Long Term Care Planning, Veteran's Benefits law, Estate Planning and Probate and Trust Administration.. Mr. Hitchcock received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Union University in upstate New York.  Mr. Hitchcock received his Law Degree, Cum Laude, with a Certificate of Concentration in Elder Law, and his LL.M. in Elder Law, with Distinction, from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.. Whitney C. Glaser has resided in Bradenton since 1971. She has more than 26 years of legal experience as a solo practitioner, associate, and partner with firms in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Ms. Glaser currently practices in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and guardianship. During her legal career, she has also handled personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and employment discrimination claims. She has also represented small business owners and individuals in contract negotiations and other legal matters, including family law.. Ms. Glaser has taught since 2008 as an adjunct instructor in the paralegal and business programs at State College of Florida. Her courses have included civil litigation, law office management, personal injury law, business law, and international business law. A Bayshore High School alumna (class of 1984), Ms. Glaser also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida (1988).
