Irving A. Sonkin is the senior partner of Sonkin & Schrempp, PLLC. He has practiced law in the State of Washington since 1974.. “Irv graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1973. Irv earned a Masters of Arts in taxation from Golden Gate University in 1986.. “Prior to going to law school, Irv worked as an auditor for Haskins & Sells (currently named Deloitte and Touche). Irv’s law practice focus is on: (1) all issues related to closely held businesses; (2) the ownership and use of real estate; and (3) estate planning. I am a transplant from New York.  I attended undergraduate at University of Washington and graduated with a Political Science degree along with a Economics cert. After undergrad, I attended Law School in California. Upon graduation, I returned to the place I love, Seattle!  Today, I live in Seattle with my spouse, two daughters and our maltipoo, Emmitt. I have been a member of ILG since 2008 and a founding member of Market Realty, a full service residential and commercial real estate brokerage. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family, spending time outside, traveling and attending sports events.

Lisa is admitted to practice in all Vermont state and federal courts.  Lisa’s practice includes nonprofit corporations and property (real estate, wills, probate) matters.. She graduated from Vermont Law School in May of 2011 with a JD and Masters of Environmental Law and Policy.  At Vermont Law School, Lisa worked on the Carbon Reduction Task Force and Campus Greening Committee to propose and implement Vermont Law School’s first “Carbon Reduction Plan.”  Lisa has written memoranda on Alaska’s legal framework of oil and gas development as well as their predator control program while working at Trustee’s for Alaska as an environmental law intern.  In addition, Lisa worked as a law intern with the New Zealand Ministry of Fisheries Legal and Prosecution Office to reform new Zealand’s aquaculture and foreshore and seabed legislation.  After working in New Zealand, Lisa commercially seined salmon out of Valdez, Alaska.  At Vermont Law, Lisa worked as a VLS Ambassador, Teaching Assistant to the Environmental Legal Research & Writing course, and Research Associate for the Institute for Energy and the Environment primarily working on agricultural energy efficiency and outreach as well as Arctic oil and gas development.. In 2007, Lisa graduated from Michigan State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Management as well as Fisheries and Wildlife with minors in Environmental Economics and Policy and Science, Technology and Environmental Public Policy.  As an undergraduate at Michigan State, Lisa participated in a study abroad program, where she traveled to Ushuaia, Argentina, Antarctic Peninsula and Antarctica researching the science, policy, and history of the area.  Lisa also worked as a student assistant at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Pollution Prevention Section where she created a “Greening Your Office and Saving Money” fact sheet and worked with the Retired Engineers Technical Assistance Program to research innovative pollution prevention techniques to help companies and state departments reduce their energy consumption.. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys the outdoors! She also serves as a volunteer int he following capacities: as the Past President of Sigma Alpha Sorority, a professional agricultural sorority dedicated to cultivating professional women in agriculture; Vice President of Sigma Alpha Sorority Educational Foundation; Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta International Educational Foundation; Secretary of the Professional Fraternity Association; Vermont Law School Leadership Committee and Leaders' Circle; and Vermont Law School Alumni Association Director.  She also serves as the Administrative Assistant for American Agri-Women.

I started practicing law in 2009 and, being a big music fan, out of law school I worked at Capitol Records in Los Angeles where I drafted and negotiated contracts for bands of the record company, putting their music in TV shows, film, commercials and video games. Some of the projects I worked on include Nike commercials, the films Inception and Scott Pilgrim v. The World, as well as video games Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero.. After living in Los Angeles I moved to Denver, Colorado where I worked for a national law firm in the Energy and Natural Resources practice. In Denver my practice focused on complex real estate and business transactions for Fortune 100 clients, primarily in the energy sector. During this time I was fortunate enough to lead teams of up to ten people in the due diligence phase of acquisitions of assets valued up to $6.5 billion.. Working for a larger firm provided a lot of great experience I would not have been able to get anywhere else, but in 2017 I decided to move back to my home state of Washington to start Moultray & McMahon with Josh. In making that move I pivoted my practice from advising big corporate clients to advising individuals and small businesses with their real estate and business needs. My clientele now primarily consists of real estate investors and home buyers/sellers looking to cut out broker commissions when buying and selling properties, as well as small businesses who are just getting up and running. I also review and negotiate a lot of commercial lease agreements for individuals and small businesses.. I received my B.S. in Psychology from Washington State University in 2005 and graduated from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts in 2009. I have also been a guest lecturer at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law on numerous occasions. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, New York and Washington.. I went to WSU so Saturdays in the fall are generally pretty stressful, but I get away from Cougar football by doing a lot of skiing and going to concerts in Seattle.

Shari Lee Sugarman graduated from Touro Law School, cum laude, in 1997. Having worked for several larger firms on Long Island after graduation, Ms. Sugarman choose to open her own firm in 2005 so she could be with her young son. Sugarman Law PC now has several employees and focuses on real estate matters (including sales, purchases, lenders, landlord/tenant, twon violations, etc.), business law, estate planning and probate/estate administration.  We also have a foreclosure defense/mortgage modification department to assist homeowners facing difficult choices concerning their homes..
