Yorio, Ferratella & Bowes started in 1972 in Painted Post after the flood of that year as Tillman, Yorio & Tunney. After two different office locations on Water Street, the firm moved to its present location in a new building especially designed as a law office on the corner of West High and Steuben Street in 1984.Over the years a number of different lawyers have been partners, including Hon. Myron Tillman (deceased), Steuben County Judge; John Tunney, former Steuben County District Attorney; Jane Crawford, current administrative law judge in Charlotte, NC; and Hon. Philip J. Roche, Steuben County Judge.The current makeup of the law firm consists of Attorneys Ronald A. Yorio, Christopher J. Ferratella, Thomas M. Bowes, and Drinald V. I started in this business when I was 18 years old.  I was a receptionist at a mid-size Chicago lawfirm and then worked as a legal secretary for a solo practictioner, and a real estate paralegal at a large firm in Cincinnati, Ohio.  I started law school at Kent College of Law in Chicago when our son was 3 months old.  While working full time and finishing law school at Salmon P. Chase College of Law/Northern Kentucky University our twins were born.  After passing the bar in Ohio I worked as an associate attorney at same large lawfirm in the real estate department.  After a couple of years, my family moved back to Illinois where our 4th child was born.  I am licensed in Illinois and Ohio and my vast experience in both Illinois and Ohio has always been in real estate.  I pride myself on returning calls and emails daily.  My clients speak directly with me and not a paralegal or secretary.  Buying and selling a home can be very stressful and I feel I go above and beyond to assist my clients with their real estate transactions.

Christopher M. Flood is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (Juris Doctor, 1988), the University of Massachusetts Amherst (Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, 1984) and St. John's High School (1980).  He was born and raised in Marlborough, is married and has two daughters.. Prior to opening the Law Offices of Christopher M. Flood (now known as the Law Offices of Flood & Favata) in the historic city of Marlborough Massachusetts in 1991, he practiced law at a litigation firm in Boston, acquiring extensive legal research, writing and courtroom experience.  The law firm now focuses on representing buyers, sellers and lenders in both residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, personal injury, social security disability, business and corporate formation and maintenance, landlord/tenant law and general civil litigation.  The law practice consists of three attorneys and two paralegals/support staff.  The office handles a variety of both individual and business clients with confidentiality, expertise and diligence.

When it comes to real estate, John Finger walks the walk.  If he's not seeing a client or preparing for trial, he's managing his own properties and dealing with the same challenges as his clients.  It's often the case that he's in court in the morning with his nice suit and tie, then, in the afternoon, he's cleaning out mess left behind by someone who decided not to pay the rent.  A plurality of his practice involves evictions, but he also negotiates contracts, does litigation, and puts together purchase and sales agreements for buyers or sellers and guides the process through closing.. John also prepares wills and powers of attorney. He even makes house-calls!
