I obtained my undergraduate degree from Fordham University in 1991. Thereafter, I obtained my Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1995, and have been practicing law ever since. Upon graduating law school I worked for a small firm in Manhattan for over 10 years. In 2004, I left the firm to start my own practice, where I have concentrated on helping to fill people's legal needs. I have vast experience in several fields, but have found that the most important aspect of practicing law is to provide clients with personal accessibility and sound advice all at extremely competitive pricing.

Hi! I’m Kerrigan, Arkansas native, born and raised in the small town of Calico Rock – which I affectionately refer to as “The Hills.” Unless you’re from the area, most people don’t know that Calico Rock is in North Central Arkansas. Almost all my large family (15 nieces and nephews large), still live in or near my hometown, so I visit “the Hills” regularly!. I attended and graduated from the only college I applied to – the University of Arkansas. Starting around junior high, being a lawyer was my career choice. My fate as an attorney was guaranteed once I chose my double majors of communication and Political Science, because those majors limited my choices to the law or education…. And I definitely don’t (I didn’t then and don’t now) have the patience to be a teacher.. One of the only cliché things about me is that I took a “gap year” after completing my undergraduate degree, moving home and working in the legal field to “be sure” about my law school plans. Even commuting over an hour each way that year, in my position at one of the few law firms within a 100-mile radius of home, could not dissuade me from law school (and law school loans)! That’s the kind of tenacity everyone deserves in their lawyer, and the tenacity I have in spades.. My “Street Law” experience that year – a term referring to common legal issues such as criminal defense, personal injury, family law, estate planning, and real estate – foreshadowed my landing at Lion Legal. A firm which, when you drill down to the basics, is a street law firm, founded on the basic principles of resolving everyday life issues with practicality, transparency, & efficiency. We often comment that we are lawyers, not therapists (and that’s true!); but the satisfaction I get from being able to help regular people like me get the best result possible, close that chapter and move on with their lives is maybe kind of close to the empathy required of a therapist? Sharing that feeling of accomplishment and conclusion with our clients never gets old.. My time is mostly spent in the Civil and Probate Divisions at Lion Legal, but my negotiation and creative problem solving skills translate to all Lion Legal practice areas. Little Rock is my home now, where I live with the most spoiled cat in the world, Marty, spending my leisure time on DIY projects and trying (unsuccessfully) to tame my fiercely competitive nature on regular Game Nights.

I am a native of Ukraine, finished high school in Skokie, IL. Then attended the University of Texas at Dallas where I have received Bachelor of Business Administration, and then Thomas M. Cooley Law School where I have received my J.D. Degree. I have been an operations manager of a mortgage brokerage, an escrow officer for a title company, and a successful real estate and business entrepreneur. My real life experience and prospective brings a fresh view to my legal practice concentrates on elder law, estate planning, business law, bankruptcy, and real estate law.

A native of Albany, New York, Catherine M. Hedgeman is a magna cum laude graduate of Union College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with Department Honors, in 1996. After college, Catherine pursued a career in government relations on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, then decided to return to her hometown to attend law school. Catherine received a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 2000 where she was an associate editor of The Albany Law Review and was awarded the Dominick Gabrielli award for excellence in Appellate Moot Court. After graduation, Catherine practiced in several of New York’s prestigious law firms as an associate and lobbyist..
