Adam was born in Wichita, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas and the Washburn University School of Law before moving to Texas to begin his career. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and wrote for the University Daily Kansan. While in law school, he joined the Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing department as a teaching assistant, and worked for the university’s Criminal Defense Clinic.. While in Kansas, Adam worked in disability rights, criminal defense, and lobbying. After becoming a member of the Texas Bar, he worked in Austin doing judgment enforcement and helping clients protect their Second Amendment rights with National Firearm Act Trusts before moving to San Antonio to join the Nichols Law Firm in 2015. He is known for his hard work, eagerness to learn from new experiences – large or small – and professional service.

Laurie is a San Antonio native and graduate of Trinity University and St. Mary's University School of Law.  She is an active member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (REPTL), is a graduate of the REPTL Leadership Academy, and has spoken frequently on issues related to title insurance and probate and estate issues to law students, community groups and at State Bar seminars.  Laurie is a proud member of the Junior League of San Antonio.

With an education and professional background in computer information systems, accounting, business, and law I have devoted my time, energy, and resources in assisting clients (real estate brokers, agents, mortgage brokers,investors, homeowners) with their real estate needs. Our firm handles matters ranging from million dollar property disputes/litigation to owner-financing transactions. We recently won 2 appeals at the Texas 1st Court of Appeals for representing a homeowner against fraudulent robo-signing (banks rubber stamping foreclosure documents without authority) and for a wrongful foreclosure case involving a loan modification. For business related matters, I am able to use my education in accounting (CPA license in the near future) and experience as a business owner to help clients with entity formation, taxation, dissolution and litigation matters. Mr. Deffenbaugh can offer over thirty years of legal expertise in an array of legal areas. He has worked on cases involving contracts, probate, taxation, insurance, real estate, oil and gas, business startups, and credit unions.. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University in 1975 and become a Certified Public Accountant in 1977. Mr. Deffenbaugh went on to complete his Master of Business Administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1982. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University Law School in 1992.. Mr. Deffenbaugh has been a small business owner for almost 40 years. In the past, he has worked in the oil and gas measurement industry. He currently works as a Certified Public Accountant and the Senior Legal Partner at Deffenbaugh and Lange, P.L.L.C.

Jeremy is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School, in San Antonio, Texas. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin. Jeremy received a doctorate of jurisprudence from St. Mary’s Law School in 2009.. Jeremy lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Julie Rivera Gilbreath, and his two sons, Matias and Antonio. He is a member of Oak Hills Church. Jeremy enjoys coaching little league and spending time with his family doing outdoor adventures.

Suzanne is certified to teach for the Arizona Department of Real Estate and she has presented several continuing legal education seminars on Short Sales for both the State Bar of Arizona and the Teton County Bar in Jackson, Wyoming.. Suzanne established Residential Law Group of Suzanne Watts, LLC to help people who are faced with selling an over-encumbered property. She works with her clients to explain the legal implications of a Short Sale and/or foreclosure and represents her client’s position with their lender(s).
