I was born and raised in Brewton, Alabama. I attended college at Auburn University and graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Business & Economics and a minor in Political Science. I grew up visiting my Father's family farm on the weekends in Conecuh County, Alabama. That led me to my undergraduate career choice. After college, I decided to attend law school at Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. I have one daughter, Pheriby Jane, who is 2.5 years old. I love my work and could not imagine doing anything else. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to help the people in my community with problems they cannot handle due to the legal complexities involved. As a graduate of Mississippi College School of Law, Amanda Summerlin has been actively involved in litigation since 2002. She graduated from Mississippi State University (magna cum laude) with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. While working as a partner and director in two different regional law firms, Amanda represented numerous defendants and focused her practice on asbestos, mass tort, and environmental litigation. She has extensive experience defending aggregated claims in jurisdictions across the nation and has assisted clients facing local, regional, and national issues. Amanda was an integral part of national coordinating counsel teams - overseeing litigation, managing individual claims, and negotiating settlements in multiple high risk jurisdictions. She participated in numerous federal and state court mediations.

Mr. Moore's practice is centered on real estate and matters which are considered initially in the probate courts. He also has experience in the representation of defendants in litigated matters. Mr. Moore has represented most of the major lenders in the north Alabama market and borrowers from those lenders. He has assisted industrial clients in negotiating and obtaining attractive tax and economic incentives for industrial expansion throughout Alabama.. He is an agent for First American and Mississippi Valley Title Insurance companies and routinely issues owners and lenders policies on both commercial and residential property. He has represented commercial lenders in collecting from delinquent borrowers. He is experienced in matters concerning foreclosure and the representation of creditors in the bankruptcy court. He has also represented clients with zoning requests, variances, annexations, vacations of easements and rights of way, and appeared before the local Board of Zoning Adjustment and the Planning Commission and its subcommittees. He has handled appeals from the decisions of these bodies.. In representing his clients, Mr. Moore has enjoyed a positive working relationship with the staffs of the Planning, Engineering, Inspection, Community Development, and Legal departments of the City of Huntsville. He serves as a hearing officer for the City of Huntsville for matters arising under its personnel policies and procedures. On an on-going basis, he represents the City of Huntsville Department of Community Development, and has worked with that department and representatives of Huntsville Housing Developments, Inc., in rehabilitating the Meadow Hills community. Mr. Moore has also provided legal services to the non-profit organization, Living in Family Transition (LIFT) Housing.. For several years, Mr. Moore was responsible for the evictions undertaken by the Housing Authority of the City of Huntsville. He continues to represent clients involved in landlord-tenant disputes.
