Ms. Coons earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Oregon in 1998 and 1999 in biology, chemisty, French, Spanish, German, and Psychology.  In 2002, she received her law degree from the University of Oregon.  She spent a year working as a cell biology research assistant, and then left that employment to prepare for the Oregon bar examination.  She spent the first four years of her career practicing with her father, Allan H. Coons, a well-regarded Oregon workers' compensation attorney, and also working for Martin J. McKeown.  Upon Mr. Coons' retirement in 2008, Ms. Coons continued their practice on her own, continuing to represent workers' compensation and social security disability claimants throughout western Oregon.. In her off-work hours, Ms. Coons enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband, reading, sewing, watching movies, taking long walks (she completed the Portland Marathon in 2010, and has participated in and completed numerous half marathons since 2007), rollerblading, dancing, looking for things to photograph, and listening to music.

I grew up in Eugene and attended South Eugene High School. After college at Vanderbilt University I returned home to go to Law School at the U of O. I began my legal career in 1975.  It has always been my intention to deliver justice in whatever way I could to my clients.  When I was a referee/administrative law judge, I held thousands of hearings in the Willamette Valley and Southwestern Oregon.  The hearings were administrative, and more often than not the parties were not represented.  It was up to me to help each party develop its best case and then rule on the case with a final written order.. When I was with the Attorney General's Office defending claims for SAIF, I had an oportunity to learn how the workers compensation system worked.  It was a revelation which led me to leave and represent injured workers, for that is where my heart is.  I am still doing it.. I take great pleasure in helping my clients through very difficult situations.  I know it is especially important to help them through the maze of programs in addition to the workers compensation system, to ensure they get through with as few losses and indignities as possible.  My staff and I feel it is our duty to do so.. For six years I served on the Local Professional Reponsibility Committee.  Its purpose was to contact lawyers who had been the subject of complaints and interview and recommend for or against prosecution by the Oregon State Bar. I believe the Bar is at its best when it promply and impartially responds to complaints, whether from other lawyers, citizens or clients.

Zach the began representing injured workers in 2013 as an associate attorney, practicing workers’ compensation, personal injury, employment law, and Social Security Disability law. In 2018, Zach became a managing partner at Salem-area law firm. Beginning around 2020, Zach began focusing exclusively on workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability law. As of 2024, he joined forces with Spencer to form Aldrich & Brunot, LLC, to continue his work to protect the rights and dignities of Oregon’s work force. Bennett P. Dalton was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2005 after graduating from Lewis and Clark Law School. He received his B.A. in 2001 from Portland State University and attended high school in Troutdale, OR.. Bennett began working for Guinn & Dalton while in law school. Having identified with Mr. Guinn’s background and with the philosophy behind the practice, he was hired as an associate attorney upon admission to the bar.. Bennett’s practice focuses on representing injured and disabled workers in claims for benefits under Oregon workers’ compensation and Social Security disability laws. Bennett strives to serve as an equalizer for injured and disabled workers against the powerful insurance companies and bureaucracies that attempt to avoid paying duly-owed benefits. Prior to a career in law, Sam focused his studies on finance while he managed a number of businesses in Southern Idaho. He is a hard worker known for his attention to detail and passion for the law. I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky and began my academic career at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, graduating with honors, Cum Laude, in 1996. In the Fall of 1996 I returned to the Commonwealth, located in Louisville, and entered the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where I graduated with honors, Cum Laude, earning a Juris Doctorate in 1999.. In October of 1999, I was admitted to practice Law in Kentucky and began as an associate with a local firm representing injured people in workers’ compensation claims, claims arising from automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents, and other personal injury claims. In 2006, I was elevated from associate to partner in the firm and continued to work fighting for the rights of injured Kentuckians. In 2008, I began the Evensen Law Office, believing it afforded the greatest opportunity to provide the best legal representation for my clients.. I have represented hundreds of individuals helping them recover benefits arising from their injuries. I have successfully argued cases on behalf of my clients to the Supreme Court of Kentucky, and on multiple occasions had victorious cases published by the Supreme Court, thereby changing the law in favor of client’s position. Pete is licensed to practice in Ohio and Kentucky.  He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.  Pete focuses his practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury, but enjoys maintaining a broad practice.  As a result, his experience in workers’ compensation litigation and personal injury work is supplemented by trial experience in family law and medical malpractice cases.. Pete graduated cum laude from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was one of only two students in his graduating class to receive the Certificate for Excellence in Advocacy.  Shortly before graduation, he was elected to the prestigious Order of the Barrister. At Chase, Pete was selected to become a member of the Inns of Court in consecutive years.  He was elected vice president of the Chase Student Advocacy Society and was the founding president of the law school Toastmasters Chapter.  As a member of the Chase National Trial Team, Pete competed in trial competitions throughout the country, helping fill the law school trophy cabinet along the way.  Pete has maintained his ties to Chase, where he works as an Adjunct coach of the trial team he once represented.. Pete proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 2012.  Nowadays, Pete lives in Ohio with his wife and son, but he was born in England and lived in Poland for nearly two years before moving to the U.S.A.  Before becoming a lawyer, Pete pursued a successful management career.  He uses this experience to better represent his clients.  He is a lifelong fan of Manchester United Football Club.  He is an advocate for breast cancer awareness and annually completes a 39.3 mile walk to raise money for this worthy cause.”
