I am a personal injury lawyer servicing the Austin and Waco areas. I have spent 8 years as District Attorney for Waco, McLennan County, TX, and have been practicing law since I graduated from the Baylor School of Law in 1979.

My partner is my wife, Deborah Clark.  I have handled more than a 1000 civil litigation matters in my career.  Throughout my career, my practice has focused on business and tort litigation encompassing a a wide range of litigation matters including construction, products liability, auto/trucking, commercial lease disputes, general business disputes, fraud, DTPA, lender liability and real estate litigation.. I have conducted approximately 100 jury trials during my career.  My practice allowed me to participate in hundreds of mediations and in 2013 I expanded my law practice to work as a mediator helping other parties settle their lawsuit.  The mediation practice is very rewarding and I look forward to continuing to expand it in the coming years.

I am a Texas native who graduated from Westlake High School in Austin, Texas.  From there, I went on to graduate with his Bachelor's in Plan II Honors and Spanish from The University of Texas; upon graduation, I attended The University of Texas once more to receive my Masters in Professional Accounting, as well as my Law Degree.. After earning my law degree, I spent the first four years of my practice working Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP.  I was actively involved in their litigation, health law and corporate law departments.  During my four years there, I helped to represent the firm's clients in a wide variety of cases – on both the state and federal level.  In the last year of my practice at Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P, I held dual positions as I also served the City of Austin as a prosecutor.  In this capacity, I first-chaired chaired over 35 jury trials..
