Mr. Gaytan attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating in only 2 ½ years. He then earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2013.. Mr. Gaytan has devoted his career to representing injured plaintiffs. After law school he joined a large personal injury firm in Dallas in 2013.. He is admitted to practice in Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and is a member of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Bar College, Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Tarrant County Bar Association.

Mr. Butcher graduated from Baylor University and earned his law degree from the University of Houston.  He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Mr. Butcher has served as lead counsel in hundreds of lawsuits and dedicates his practice exclusively to the representation of injury victims.

I am a Fort Worth Native, graduate of Trinity Valley High School. After completing my law degree at Baylor Law School, I returned to Fort Worth to begin my career in the office of one of Fort Worth's most respected and experienced attorneys, Art Brender. Soon thereafter I chose Arlington to be my home and established my law office to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington community.. My office practices Plaintiff Personal Injury law, Employment & Labor law and Civil Rights law. Christy re-joined Ted Lyon & Associates in 2016 after graduating from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2015.  Christy worked at Ted Lyon & Associates back in the early 2000's as a senior litigation paralegal alongside Ted and other excellent trial lawyers in the firm to bring many multi-million dollar cases to completion. She grew up in the Dallas area and holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce.  She also worked full time as a paralegal with the support of her 2 children, awesome husband and many valued family members while attending law school at night.. Christy brings with her over 20 years of experience as a senior litigation paralegal with many accolades.  She carried into law school two Board Certifications as a Paralegal, (Civil Trial Law 2004 & Personal Injury Trial Law 2002) and passed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam in 1997.  She spent many years active as a member in the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division and in the Dallas Area Paralegal Association as the Community Service/Pro Bono chairperson and chairperson of the Personal Injury/ Medical Malpractice Section.. Christy enjoys speaking to upcoming Paralegal students, presenting Continuing Legal Education seminars, and mentoring Paralegals.  With her extensive track record as a senior litigation/double board certified paralegal, she brings many years of dedication to the legal field, practical trial and litigation experience as well as the personal attention and interaction our clients deserve.

Philip Perez is a native of San Antonio where he attended Central Catholic Marianist High School.  He graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas State University with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy.  After receiving his undergraduate degree he worked for the Texas Attorney General’s Office Child Support Division in Austin.  He left Austin in 2001 to attend Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston.  While in law school, Philip excelled in both Moot Court and Mock trial competitions.  His success in these competitions included cash winnings.  He was consistently on the Dean’s List and in the top portion of his class.  In addition, he was a member of the prestigious Law Review journal and was elected to be on the Editorial Board as a Notes Editor during his final year.  While in law school, he was an intern with the 14th Court of Appeals under Judge Kem Frost and also participated in an internship with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.He was hired as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in Harris County in 2005 and stayed there until leaving in 2009 to be closer to his family and the Texas hill country.  As a Prosecutor for four years in the third largest county in the United States, Philip successfully handled literally thousands of criminal cases.  He has worked in several misdemeanor and felony courts and has personally tried numerous felony and misdemeanor cases in front of a jury.  He is truely an aggressive advocate.  At one point, he had seven felony jury trials in a seven week period.  During his time in the felony courts he never lost a jury trial.  One of his notable cases includes a felony trial where the jury sentenced a habitual DWI offender to 99 years in the penitentiary.  His valuable experience with the District Attorney’s Office also includes working in the Check Fraud Division, the Juvenile Division, several Justice of the Peace courts (traffic court) throughout Harris County, and the Grand Jury Division where he indicted over a thousand felony cases.   Philip has appeared on television educating the public on the law, and has judged trial competitions at both South Texas College of Law and the University of Houston Law Center.  He currently sits on the State Bar of Texas Committee on Legal services for the Poor.. (When he's not in the courtroom, Mr. Perez enjoys the outdoors.  He's a mountain bike enthusiast and participates in organized TMBRA races throughout Texas whenever he has time.)

Born and raised in Omaha, Tim attended Creighton Prep. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University and his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law. While in law school, Tim received the CALI award for excellence in Insurance. He is admitted to the State and Federal Courts in Nebraska. He is a member of the Omaha and Nebraska Bar Associations, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys and The America Association for Justice, and the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group.
