Darlene has received her Juris Doctorate from Arizona Summit Law School, 2015-2016. She fast-tracked her program in two years while maintaining her scholarship award and making the Dean's List. She is proud to be an alumni from Arizona State University and Glendale Community College. As a student she has been recognized for her scholarly accomplishments and has been selected for the Dean's List at both undergraduate schools. She has been certified as a Mediator while in law school and for Civics Education during her attainment of her Bachelors of Science in Political Science.

I had the unique opportunity of living in Seoul, South Korea for two years and visiting Japan as a child when my father was on his hardship tour abroad. In 1982, the family moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona where I went to school through high school and where my mother still resides. So, I have some southern Arizona roots.. I received my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in finance from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1994. Creighton University is also where I attended law school receiving my Juris Doctor degree in 1998. I was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 1998 and I am also licensed to practice in the United States Federal District Court of Arizona.. I am married, my wife is a school teacher and my step-daughter is going to attend college this fall. I never had a dog as child or until I met my wife for that matter – now I have a pack of four. I enjoy donating to charities which help protect and support our four-legged friends as they cannot protect themselves. I also enjoy staying in shape by working out and I have successfully completed two marathons and several tough mudder events.. While at Cumberland, he served as the President of the Federalist Society, a Senior Member of the Trial Board, competed on the Mediation Team, and made Dean’s List every semester. Nelson was admitted to practice in Georgia in 2019 and Alabama in 2020.. As an Alabama native, when Nelson in not cheering for the Crimson Tide, he spends his free time with his wife and friends going hiking, fishing, or camping.

Summer grew up, went to school, and began her career in Birmingham, Alabama. In short, she is a home-grown tomato. Although Summer was accepted to medical school right out of high school, she knew that her passion was in the law, so she made the decision to attend law school at Cumberland School of Law. After law school, Summer clerked at the federal district court for the Northern District of Alabama where she managed cases, prepared legal memoranda, and got a first-hand look at our court system. After her clerkship, Summer immediately began a litigation practice at a large southeastern corporate defense firm. While at the firm, Summer honed her litigation skills and handled a vast variety of civil litigation matters, from complaint through trial or settlement, including wrongful death, personal injury, and employment cases.. Knowing that her heart was not with the corporate defense world, Summer joined the Serious Injury Law Firm in 2017.
