Besides practicing law full time I have a hobby making and selling wine from my vacation home in Healdsburg, CA. We call our business there Garofalo Family Vineyards. We are a licensed non-resident dealer in Illinois and distribute through Sabaca Beverage and our retailer is Perman Wine Selections. The only wine we produce is Zinfandel. We just bottled our 2012 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel which will go on sale Fall, 2013.

We are NOT a large firm, nor do we want to be. You will not see my face on a bus, billboard or bench. Karina Clarke focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. Her experience includes representing clients in all types of workers’ compensation litigation before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board, as well as drafting and submitting summations and appeals, negotiating settlements, and drafting settlement agreements. Karina has attended hearings in all five boroughs of New York City as well as on Long Island and upstate New York.. While earning her J.D. at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Karina served as a student attorney representative with SEPA Mujer, where she advocated and submitted petitions to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of clients seeking legal status under the Violence Against Women Act, which allows battered immigrants to petition for legal status. She was also active in her school’s Student Bar Association as well as the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association as its Black Law Student Association Representative and served as the secretary of Touro Law Center’s Latino American Law Student Association.. Karina was a legal intern in Queens County District Attorney’s Office’s Major Crimes Bureau and Criminal Bureau, where she conducted legal research, interviewed witnesses and police officers, and conducted Huntley Sandoval and Mapp/Dunaway hearings and hospital arraignments under supervision of Assistant District Attorneys.

Shane Farrell began working for MDASR, LLP in 2006 as a summer intern and has been with the firm for the past 11 years. Shane attended Eckerd College where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Literature. Upon finishing his undergraduate degree in  2012 he became a Claims Examiner assisting injured workers in their claims for Worker’s Compensation benefits.  It was this early exposure to assisting disabled workers that inspired Shane to attend Touro Law School. He was active in various student programs which cumulated in serving as the Student Bar Association Evening Vice President during the third year of his law school tenure.

Eric Kile grew up in the Capital District and graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 2002. After high school Eric went on to the University at Buffalo, graduating cum laude with a double major in Political Science and Anthropology in 2006. Upon graduating Eric returned home to continue his education at Albany Law School where he received a Juris Doctorate in 2009.. Eric began his legal career with Boies, Schiller, & Flexner practicing corporate litigation and antitrust law. While there he also provided Pro Bono work with The Legal Project which provides a variety of free and low cost legal services to the working poor, victims of domestic violence and other underserved individuals in the Capital District of New York State.. Eric joined Martin, Harding & Mazzotti in 2016, practicing in the field of Workers’ Compensation.. When he is not working, Eric enjoys being outdoors, golfing, and seeing live music.
