I am originally from Amarillo, Texas, but moved to Albuquerque in 1989. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNM School of Law in 2019. Prior to attending law school, I graduated from Adams State University with a BSBA in finance. Between undergrad and law school, I had the privilege of staying home with my three children while my husband practiced law.. After watching my husband change the lives of countless injured workers for a number of years, I was inspired to study law so that I could effect change in the same way. While in law school, I received a clerkship at the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. I also worked in the UNM law clinic where I practiced Indian Law, focusing on civil rights violations and consumer law.
