John H. Leech, Jr. is a native of Mobile and graduated from Davidson High School.  He attended Rhodes College on scholarship where he studied political science and played fullback and long snapper on the football team.  He then transferred to the University of South Alabama where he played football for Coach Joey Jones and the Jaguars as a long snapper.  During his time at USA, John was president of his fraternity, the Kappa Alpha Order, Greek Man of the Year, Secretary/Treasurer of the Order of Omega, a recipient of the Excellence in Political Science Award, named to multiple Dean’s Lists, a member of numerous honor societies, and was named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List.  He graduated in 2011 from the University of South Alabama with a B.A. in political science, cum laude..
