Maryanne Low-Haviland grew up in Cooperstown, New York. She graduated from Hamilton College in 1988, where she majored in Government and minored in English Literature. She went directly from Hamilton to Albany Law School , graduating in 1991. While Maryanne will always consider Cooperstown in some way to be her “home”, she also found the Capital Region to be a wonderful place to live and, ultimately, decided to remain in the Albany area following law school graduation. Having participated extensively as a successful participant and coach in the Moot Court Program at Albany Law School, Maryanne enjoyed litigation and focused in this area almost immediately upon graduation. She has successfully tried personal injury, discrimination and matrimonial cases over the years on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants.. When Maryanne was offered a position as an attorney in the case management unit at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, she welcomed the opportunity to combine her litigation and negotiation skills with her desire to have direct client contact and to help clients through difficult periods in their lives. Maryanne is a member of the New York State and Federal Bar Associations.. Maryanne is very involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, whose mission is to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. She lives in Guilderland with her Husband, Charles R. Haviland, Jr., her daughter, Sarah, and her son, Will. Maryanne is an avid equestrian. When she is not in the office, she can often be found at the stable with her daughter, who shares her passion for horses and showing.

Carol E. Crummey is a 2013 graduate of Albany Law School and a 2008 graduate of Boston College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Communications. Carol joined our firm upon graduation from Albany Law School, and has continued to work as a courtroom advocate working on cases from inception to trial. Carol is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.. Carol concentrates in the area of civil litigation including premises liability, construction accidents, products liability, motor vehicle negligence and medical malpractice. Throughout law school she was employed at a civil litigation firm and simultaneously by the Albany County District Attorney, gaining experience in both civil and criminal matters.. Carol is a member of the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations. While at Albany Law, Carol participated in multiple Moot Court Competitions, and she was the winner of Albany Law School Donna Jo Morse Client Counseling Competition.  Carol currently serves as the Mock Trial Attorney Coach for the Albany Academies. She also currently serves as the Secretary on the Board of the Junior League of Albany and is Vice President of the Albany Academy for Girls Alumnae Board.  Carol’s interests include reading, cooking, volunteering and downhill skiing.

Matt Dillon joined Martin, Harding, and Mazzotti in January 2020, bringing with him over a decade of legal experience. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation, particularly in the fields of motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, construction, product liability, and premises liability. Matt has litigated and tried cases in local, state, and federal courts throughout New York State. He has lectured and published on legal issues including trial tactics, e-discovery, social media, trucking and transportation, food safety, and state and federal laws. Matt is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Albany County Bar Association, and the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association.. A lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Matt is committed to his community and devotes his time to providing a meaningful and positive impact. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Capital District YMCA – Bethlehem Branch and is the Vice-President for the Greater Capital District Italian American Bar Association. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, to the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in 1989 and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1992.. Ron is a member of the New York Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, The Capital District Women’s Bar Association and the Albany County Bar Association.. He has been an active volunteer and member of the Board of Directors of The Legal Project for many years and served as President of the Board of Directors in 2007-2008.. Ron has received many awards including the President’s Pro Bono Service Attorney Award by the New York State Bar Association in 2005 and again was recognized as Empire State Counsel for Pro Bono services in 2008.

Philip “Phil” Mazzotti was born and raised just outside of Albany, New York. Growing up, Phil always wanted to attend Syracuse University, where his family attended, and become an attorney. Phil graduated from Syracuse University in 2011, with Bachelor’s degrees in Finance, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship for Emerging Enterprises. Phil pursued his passion to be an attorney at Albany Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2014.. Throughout his life, Phil has always had a passion to help people. From volunteering at local food shelters as a child, mentoring inner city kids while at Syracuse University, or as a professional helping people who have been wrongfully injured, Phil is looking forward to the career that is ahead of him in the litigation department at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP..
