James Montee has been a Kansas City native since 1958. After graduating from Ouachita Baptist University and then the University of Arkansas School of Law, I joined my father in working at Taylor King Law in Arkadelphia, my hometown. My wife, Kim, and I both grew up in small communities.  After living from 1989 to 2001 in the Indianapolis area, we decided to relocate to Salem, where I grew up.  For almost 10 years, I represented the interests of insurance companies almost exclusively.  Since moving to Salem, I have phased out of all insurance defense work.  I now represent injured parties and provide legal services and counsel to individuals and small businesses.  This is not a wealthy community like the one I moved from.  But it is our community.  I have found there are far greater rewards in representing real people rather than insurance companies.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and freinds, reading, sports, volunteering at my church, and coaching soccer.

Robert is a Kansas City Lawyer and one of the founding partners of the Krause and Kinsman Law Firm, and has committed his practice to protecting the rights of people and their loved ones. He was born and raised in the Kansas City area. Although his family members have been dedicated to careers that concentrate on enriching the lives of everyday people, Robert is a first generation attorney. Throughout his life, Robert has not only enjoyed interacting with the people of his community, but he has been devoted to being a voice for others when they need it most. The heart of his practice consists of advocating for people when they have been wronged.. Robert’s practice focuses on areas of personal injury, mass torts, employment discrimination, and business litigation. As a litigation and trial attorney, Robert dedicates his time to making sure his client’s interests are properly represented. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Adam knew from an early age that he wanted to be an attorney in order to help people in times of need.  He graduated in 2010 from University of Tennessee majoring in political science and a dual minor in history and German language.. In 2012, Adam moved to Memphis, Tennessee in order to attend the University of Memphis Law School.  During law school, Adam had the privilege of clerking for two Shelby County Circuit Court Judges, and was able to see firsthand the practice of law in the real world, and the issues that come through the court system on a daily basis.  After graduating law school in 2015, he worked at a personal injury firm where he handled hundreds of cases and was able to obtain successful results for his clients.. After over five years in Memphis, Adam finally made the move to Nashville in the summer of 2017.  Now, he has the opportunity to provide clients of middle Tennessee with the legal services they need, and to use his knowledge of the law and experience to obtain successful results for his clients.  Focusing mainly on litigation, Adam is happy to take his clients’ cases to trial in order to obtain a fair settlement on behalf of his clients.

Texas native Nicholas Chrestopoulos combines a unique understanding of law and insurance tactics to bring justice to auto injury victims.. Mr. Chrestopoulos’ path to becoming a personal injury attorney was unique. Before attending law school, he worked for a nationally renowned jury consultant. Initially, he defended individuals and corporations in personal injury cases, but soon shifted his focus to those injured by negligence and recklessness.. Mr. Chrestopoulos received his law degree from Texas Tech and a degree in political science with a minor in leadership studies from Austin College.

Kip McAlister is a trial lawyer with years of experience in medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, construction, premises, criminal law, and more. He endeavors to help families who suffer catastrophic injuries and wrongful death get the compensation they deserve.

Joe is a founding member and partner at Cavanaugh & Thickens, LLC. Previously, Joe practiced at a defense firm with a focus on personal injury cases involving automobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, and defective products. He also handled numerous cases involving insurance coverage and bad faith and is applying his experience in that area to assist individuals whose claims have been denied or who have received lowball settlement offers from their insurance companies. Joe also represented large trucking companies, medical providers, and construction companies during his time as a defense attorney, and has tried multiple cases in South Carolina courts.. Joe is originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2010, and his law degree from USC in 2013. During law school, he worked in both private and public legal settings, including a private defense firm and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.. Joe and his wife Hannah live in Columbia, South Carolina, where they are active members of Shandon Baptist Church. Joe enjoys following college sports, as well as golfing, hiking, cycling and kayaking in his spare time.

Deyaska Spencer is a native of Columbia, South Carolina but she calls the Carolinas, North and South, home. She attended Dreher High school where she served as Class President during her freshman, sophomore and junior years respectively.  As a senior she served as Student Body President.  After high school, Ms. Spencer pursued her baccalaureate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and the University of South Carolina (USC) in Columbia, SC.. She places a premium on client service and is always willing to help others.  In her spare time she enjoys basketball, volleyball and family time with her family.

Why did you decide to become a lawyer?. As a former death investigator, I frequently saw the devastating consequences of careless behavior.  Too often, victims' families had no idea that medical mistakes were made or how to proceed.  The more I saw this, the more I wanted to help families seek justice.. What did you do before you were a lawyer?. I was trained in forensic anthropology, which is the field that applies knowledge of human skeletal traits to legal questions.  For instance, I learned how to determine the sex, age, and ancestry of skeletal remains.. I applied this training first as a deputy coroner in South Carolina, then as an investigator at the medical examiner's office in Austin, Texas.  In these positions, I learned how to ask questions in interviews, how to scrutinize medical records, and how law enforcement officers approach cases.. What are your personal interests?. As the married father of three young children, most of my "free" time I spend with my family.  I am a leader in my son's Boy Scout troop, where I have the opportunity to help boys learn and demonstrate the core values of Scouting.

I joined McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates in 1994 and now hold the role of managing shareholder. I work primarily in the  Columbia office and practice in the areas of automobile accidents, workers' compensation, wrongful death, premises liability and all forms of personal injury.  I received my B.A. degree from Virginia Tech in 1989 and my law degree from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law in 1994. I was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1994 and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina, in 1995. I have served as an adjunct professor in the paralegal training program at Orangeburg/Calhoun Technical College as well as a member of their Advisory Board for Paralegal Studies and Criminal Justice..
