Texas Divorce
divorce attorney Texas Aug 14, 2026
Location: Bell County I initially filed for divorce without lawyers because I thought we could be civil. It doesn't look like its going to stay that way. Can I switch to having a lawyer? Can I still get a protection order because she has hit me before and she got arrested one time. I initially didn't ask for one because I didnt want to screw her over and she implied that I would only make it worse for myself if I fight for custody of my kids because I'm broke l, I'm a man, and her parents have money for lawyers. I want to fight for my kids is the main reason I want to double back and get a lawyer involved. She's hit me multiple times throughout our marriage, been arrested for it once and she's an alcoholic. She's been hospitalized three times because of it and been to rehab. She is currently sleeping with someone else.
