Leasing office lost money order

Location: florida I’ve always had a bit of trouble with my leasing office, we got scammed with a fake promo and we can’t leave yet since we can’t afford to break the lease. Since they don’t trust us we have to pay via money order from amscot. We’ve had no problems with doing this despite how inconvenient it is to have to get a ride to amscot when we’re already broke. This time I had gone by myself and put the money order in their mail slot. As always I take pictures of the money order, the receipts and take pictures of myself putting in the mail slot. I have these pictures and they are dated showing I put them in on the sixth of this month and by August 12th-13th they’re putting notes on my door saying they don’t receive any money. Mind you this is an 812 dollar money order. I had originally thought they were missing the late fee, and I had put that through the same slot on the 12th but they were talking about the $812. I showed them the evidence but they continued to say that they never received it and no one would have been able to steal it since only the property manager ( who we’ve had trouble with before) and the manager in training who was brand new, had access to the office. I had foolishly forgotten to take off the stub because I am dealing with some chronic pain and the meds can make me groggy and forgetful. I have tried to go to amscot and see what I can do but they need the stub which I do not have. The leasing office knows what’s going on and have still put an eviction notice on my door requiring payment in three days. I don’t get paid until the 20th. What can I do? This doesn’t seem like a fault of mine since it was lost in their possession but they do not seem to care and refuse to accept any responsibility. They have not offered to check cameras or do anything and we are being threatened with homelessness when we’ve paid our dues. Any advice?
