Wife makes more

I am the wife who makes significantly more than my spouse - I want to file for divorce. He is an addict and is now also cheating. He was making around 100k and was fired from his job 3 months ago. I started making 400k about 4 months ago (made 200k or less prior 10 years). 2 kids. married 13 years. I am scared of filing because I am going to be totally screwed due to this new income increase. The only thing he has going for him is his 401k that is $1.5M and I have around 950k. His 401k is this large as he does amature trading in it and spends hours on it daily. He will also get a big inheritance $1M+ (which I know I have no right over). We have a home together and I am ok splitting it. I know I will owe spousal support but will he also take my 401k? Would I get part of his 401k? Location: Illinois USA
