Please help- police in Dallas County won’t help! MAJOR Roommate issues

Location: Texas Hi all, Dealing with a major problem. In July, I arrived in Texas and needed to find an apartment, but could not find one immediately, so I rented a room in a boarding house. I rented the room for six weeks. I rented it from an old man and his wife, so felt pretty comfortable with the situation. It wasn’t until I moved in, and a few weeks had passed, that I discovered there were some major issues. Firstly, it appears that the landlord’s son and his ex-girlfriend (both live in the house) are felons, and are using meth and cooking it in the house. Secondly, they have tried multiple times to steal my identity I believe – I caught them one day, taking photographs of the VIN and registration on my car, and given the fact that the female roommate is an identity thief, as I pulled up her Texas records after I suspected something was wrong, this makes me very concerned. Thirdly, she actually stole an item from me. I had to call the police to get the item back, and when we caught her dead to rights with the item because she can lie better than I can tell the truth, and the police still refused to give me the item when I pulled up a three year-old photograph of it, the police wouldn’t arrest her anyway because the police stated, and I quote “it’s not theft if she gives you the item back”. I talked to my family’s attorneys, and apparently under Texas penal code 31.03, it is indeed a crime. They don’t give a fuck though. These are shitty cops in Texas. Forthly, I woke up this morning, and my tire was punctured. Fifthly, the old man has guns in his house, and she has access to them, but the old man doesn’t seem to be concerned and denies that she’s a felon, even though she is clearly a felon because you can look up her records online. So she is a known felon with access to guns. And again, the police here don’t take it seriously. They don’t give a shit. Sixthly, it appears that this entire family commits crimes against tenants and tries to steal their identities and other bullshit. Apparently the police know about this, but don’t give a fuck. Because why would they? They’re fucking useless. So of course, today I left. I locked the door, left, got as many things packed as I could, and left. I am going to go back with the police to hand over the keys and to get the remainder of my things very soon, but I did whatever I could do to get me and my pets out of there and be safe. Of course I’m locking my credit report, I am locking up my chexsystems, I never received mail there anyways except for my car insurance bill because in Texas even if you have paperless, they have a law stating that they must send you actual paper statements, so I went to the post office and got that mail held so it would not be shipped there anymore and then switched insurance companies and made sure that the insurance company knew about this – and then I contacted the DMV in New York, where my car is registered to let them know that I am not gonna duplicate titles – what can I do, though? The police down here do not seem to be interested in following their own laws. She is also impersonating an FBI agent, going so far as to literally having a LinkedIn profile where she claims that she is indeed an FBI agent. Unfortunately, the police down here in Dallas County don’t seem to give half a fuck about enforcing the law, even though they have been out to this house, unbeknownst to me before moving in, 21 times in eight months. Also, the landlord and his son evicted her a couple of years ago, and then criminally trespassed her, but allowed her to move back in because she and the son are making meth together and smoking meth together, and, believe it or not, she used to be a hooker, and we are all pretty sure that she is fucking both the son and the dad. Not even kidding. Disgusting as fuck. I need the police to actually take these allegations responsible and have some accountability here, and I want to nail these fuckers to the wall. They have made my life a living hell for six weeks, and the fallout is tremendous. I’m going to have to literally spend weeks fixing everything – making sure that my credit, and my banking, and my car title, are never compromised and anything else – and they’re gonna get away with it scot-free. I want to make sure these fuckers pay. Does anybody have any ideas? Anything I can do legally to make the police actually do their fucking jobs? Thank you for reading.
