Disability wait and unemployment

Location: Seattle, Washington Hello, I have been waiting for my disability application to get reviewed, which is in about a month or 2. Application filed for epilepsy, been having up to 2 convulsive set of seizures at least once a month, with medication not working. I have been beyond struggling financially. I have expired my Paid Family Medical Leave, and my request for extension, for a backpay of one month, will not be done for a few weeks at best. I have a father with cancer to care for. I am considering filing for unemployment and to return to work if I do get hired. Family needs the finances badly. My question: disability has a trial period of 9 months if approved to see how the disability affects my work abilities. I am aware that filing for unemployment and getting a job CAN contradict this application. Not always though. Will this affect my 9 month trial period if I am approved at all? I hoping the fact I am caring for my father, will help my case. Just need to plan hard for future months financially. Thank you for any reply
