Breaking a lease due to foreign military orders

Location: Colorado Hey. My husband received military orders from another country (i have dual citizenship, and we are currently working on his green card here). To comply with the orders, we would of course have to leave the country. Unfortunately, the SCRA only applies to members of the US military. This means we would be liable for 2 months rent in order to break the lease. Is there any way around this or any known precedent for foreign military orders? We tried simply requesting it from the property management company, but they denied us. This seems ridiculous to me, since theoretically we could just leave the country and never pay them anyway. (We wouldn't do that, but there would really be a way for them to enforce repayment if we simply abandoned the property so why even bother).
