Missouri - Child support without DNA

child support attorney Missouri Jul 24, 2026
Location: Missouri Asking for a loved one. What are someone's options that was homeless for years and on hard drugs for over 10years. Evidentially they had child paternity letters being sent to a family member's address during that time. They didn't get them timely. He missed all court dates and requests for DNA testing due to not going to that family members house often and them not getting him the mail. From what we can find out he now has been assigned paternity by default, essentially. He does not believe he is the father. There were three people listed on the paperwork along with him, one of them being John Doe listed another possible dad. He now has back child support for kids he hasn't even been proven to be the father of. Where should he go from here? What are his options?
