Dog/House Sitting Contract

Location: North Carolina - I’ve been dog and house sitting for decades and this is the first time I’ve come across this. It seems very standard and there’s nothing on this document that warrants too much pause, except I’ve never seen such. I do enjoy a whiskey or beer after work on some Fridays, so if I were to indulge in that on their property, what could I be liable for? I would never get wasted while caring for anyone’s pets or homes, but I also do not want to abuse their trust or be in noncompliance with this contract. I’m a little weirded out by the part that their negligence doesn’t leave them liable for anything and the written approval for guests, but I’m guessing they’ve had bad experiences with carers in the past. I’m glad to be working with them/their dogs and totally understand protecting themselves, but I’d also like to protect myself as well. Dog/House Sitting Contract
