Tenet Move out dispute: What can I do?

RE: management change not upholding original lease Location: Florida About 1.5 months ago I moved out of my apartment complex. On my move out date the management of my complex changed. After exactly 30 days (I called many times during this period) they sent me the final bill. This bill included about $400 of damages/cleaning fees ($700 total with other utilities, -$500 security deposit, I still owe $200). The images they provided showed nail holes, small scuffs and paint chips (smaller than a dime). In my lease they say they only charge for “neglect and abuse”. I called prior to move out (before management change) to get a move out checklist, they said no need to fill holes, paint, or fix the walls for what o described. However, they are now charging me for all of this and a full repaint of the apartment as this is the procedure of this new company. I was never informed of their procedure, it is not outlined in my old lease, and I never agreed to anything regarding this new company. They also have not looked at my original lease. I am unable to call them now. They do not call back to respond to my voicemail. The email the provided does not respond to my actual issue. They are sending me in circles with nobody answering my issue no pausing my account to not be sent to collection. I have also gone in person where they told me they cannot help bc it is the company who handles it. So what are my options here? I don’t know if I can send them to small claims. I don’t know if it is worth it. I don’t know if this is legal for them to abide by terms I was never informed of/ never agreed to. I don’t know if this is something that is a valid case.
